Jinora huffed as she tossed and turned once again. Ever since her last mission with Opal and Kai, she had begun to have difficulties getting to sleep and actually staying that way. She had tried everything she knew to help. Herbal tea, meditation, breathing exercises. Even going as far as fluffing her pillow in her desperation for sleep! Her old bed on Air Temple Island just wasn't cutting it these past few nights.

This is ridiculous she thought to herself incredulously. I'm a master airbender and I can't even sleep?!

She was sleep deprived and beyond cranky. So when the solution appeared to her, she immediately threw off her covers, grabbed her glider stored in her closet, and used it to float from her window down to the opposite side of the temple. Landing gracefully on the open windowsill, she leaned her glider against the window frame, walked over to the sleeping form, and shoved their shoulder, hard.

"Wake up and move over," She grumbled impatiently.

Kai jerked awake at the shove and looked up groggily. He had been having a nice dream.

"Jinora?" He questioned sleepily while rubbing the side of his face. "W-what are you doing here?"

"I haven't slept for three nights straight and it is entirely your fault," She whispered harshly. "Now move over."

Kai did as she said, unsure of what to make of her. "But what about your da-" he began to ask while she climbed in the bed, but she interrupted.

"I don't care. I am eighteen damn years old and I will sleep with my boyfriend if I so choose. He can deal with it," She snapped while hurriedly placing her back against his bare chest and sighing when she felt his warm arm pull her closer under the covers.

Kai leaned forward slightly to kiss her cheek and whispered: "I'm sorry you couldn't sleep without me," with a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth.

"Oh shut up, Kai."
