"Of course," I said to myself silently, watching as the WildCats partied. "They always win, the Ice Queen always loses." I turned to walk away, my teardrops falling silently, as cold as ice. I heard my name being shouted. "Sharpay!" I know that voice anywhere. My ex, the person who turned me into the Ice Queen. I kept walking, trying to ingore the voice. It wasn't working. Memories floated through my mind, brought back from the dead by the voice that still makes my heart beat as fast as the first day. I was trying so hard to ingore it, to put my mask back up. It wasn't working. A hand grabbed my shoulder and turned me around, spinning me as through we were dancing. I looked into the warm blue eyes of Troy Bolton. He was staring into my eyes, searching for something. I remember a place, a time like this. But instead of him searching for answers in eyes, it was me, searching those eyes for the answer of our breakup.
"Where you going?" He asked me. "Home, like any other person would at midnight." I turned to walk away, his voice starngling me as through he was himself. He called out again. "Sharpay!" I turned around. In his hand, was the necklace he gave me so long ago. A star, pink and bright. I looked at him. "I haven't forgotten..." He said quietly. "I just have moved on." I glared at him. "Put that away." I said to him. "Memories are foolish things. And I won't have memories blocking me from my path." He looked gulity, but I didn't let that stop me. "I have a path that I'm going to go on, and don't you dare pull that thing out." I walked away, and this time I made it to my car, before breaking down. I drove off, leaving Troy in the past, but his image and the memories that we shared will always be in my mind...
No matter what.
