1. The Rat
Daisy has had a crush on Loki since Natasha introduced them. He has always seemed so mysterious, but also very, very charming and handsome. Unfortunately, most of the Avengers hated him or at least strongly disliked him, which showed off in Loki ignoring everyone, counting Daisy.
But over the time, Daisy found their similarity. It was reading books. Both Loki and she loved to read and she was shocked when she saw his book collection one time she succeeded to have a glance on his room (or rather chamber).
That morning she woke up because of her cat, Grid, wanted to cherish her with a present... of a dead rat. A normal person would just probably put it in a trash can but, well, Daisy was deathly afraid of rats.
´Grid!´she gasped when she saw what the cat brought to the head of her bed. The black-furred devil now grinned knowingly and her green eyes shone brightly.
´What am I supposed to do now, Grid? Goddess, you are such a naughty cat. Sometimes I wonder why did I keep you,´Daisy shook her head and carefully stepped out of the warm bed, trying not to get close to the gray rat. She corrected her white nightgown, which has rolled up to her mid-tight and opened the door of her small room.
Walking through the corridors of the Stark Tower, she finally found someone.
But when she came closer she realized it was Loki. That Loki.
´Morning, Loki,´she greeted him and prayed for him not to turn around and see her messy ginger hair. It was such a disaster - just like every morning. She would surely do something with it if she knew that she was going to meet Loki...
´Can I help you with something?´ he asked sarcastically and Daisy blushed.
She didn´t want to sound annoying, yet she wanted to get rid of the rat in her room.
´Do you happen to know where the Avengers are? Usually, they are in the corridor at this time but I cannot find them today,´she asked him with a concern.
´Silly girl. Don´t you know? They went on some mission, fighting their imaginary enemies, etcetera, etcetera. Seems like you are the person supposed to look after me,´he frowned.
Daisy couldn´t blush more. She knew who did this. Natasha.
´Alrigh then. Don´t you know when are they back?´Daisy tried it, but didn´t succeed. Loki has probably decided to remain silent because he refused to answer her question.
´Dont you know where I find some shovel?´Daisy asked.
Still nothing, just silence.
´May I ask what do you need a shovel for, Miss Summers?´ he finally responded.
Daisy looked at him, visibly surprised. She lost all of her hope that he would ever talk to her again.
´There´s... there´s a rat in my room and I need to get him away from me,´ she explained and shivered. Even the thought of a rat near her had the possibility to make her vomit.
´And you want to throw it into a bin?´ he raised his eyebrows when Daisy nodded.
´Aren´t you afraid of rats, Miss Summers?´
Wait. How did he know about that? Daisy never told a soul except for Natasha, who was her closest friend, after all. But Daisy highly doubted Nat told Loki about her fear.
´Indeed I am, but that is none of your concern. Do you know where the shovel is?´ she asked him again, surprised with the harsh sound of her voice.
He didn´t say a thing but walked away.
What a strange person!
