I Loved Her First
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-gi-oh, or the song. If you've heard it, then you know how it gets you in the heart. Enjoy.
"And now it's time for the bride and her father to dance." the DJ said.
As the violin intro began he took her hand and spun her around, then stated dancing.
"I'm glad you finally found him, Tea." Her father Yugi said. It was her wedding day and it was to the love of her life, Greg Lopez
"Me too, daddy." She said smiling. As they listened to the lyrics they both began to tear up.
"I-if he does anything," he held a sob. "bad to you just tell me. You know I love you right?" He said letting a few tears slip. He was so proud of her. She looked beautiful. Her hair pulled up in a bun with a few sparkles, her make up made her look like a fairy. He kissed his daughters forehead thinking how she looked just like her mother.
"I will daddy, and I love you too." She got out a napkin and dabbed the tears away. He had always sang this song to her before she went to bed, ever since she was born. Even when she was a teen and wanted her space, he'd sing it. Finally she couldn't take it and she hugged him, letting more tears fall.
Yugi hugged his daughter and also let some tears fall. It was the best day of both of their lives. He started singing with the song, as it got closer to it's end. When it finished everyone clapped and they both let go. He took her hand and kissed it.
"I love you, Tea." He said.
"I love you too, daddy." She said hugging him as they both walked back.
The reception was just about to go into full swing, the groom had danced with his mom, and they had already thrown the flowers and garter. Just when Greg was about to dance with Tea, Yugi grabbed his arm and stopped him. He looked Greg straight in the eyes before whispering, "I loved her first." and then walked off.
As Tea and Greg danced he remembered Yugi's words. He smiled at the thought.
"Greg? What're you thinking?" Tea asked noticing her new husbands smile. He looked over to Yugi who was sitting down and watching them. Then he looked back at his wife.
"Your father," he smiled a bit more, "he loved you first." They both laughed and continued dancing. When everyone went home that night, and everyone was fast asleep, Tea and Yugi were still singing the song.
Fade out and fade to black Okay, yeah, I know, kinda bad and kinda sappy. But sweet non the less, right? Review. OH, and Greg is just a dude I made up. Picture him however you wanna picture him.
