"Alright, and here we have a nice looking fellow. He can do work in the field and house and can speak English." The announcer said.

It was clear that this boy, Eustace by name, was not a nice looking boy. He had next to no muscles and was a bit short. And you could see by looking at him that he was a very rude little boy. He obviously thought he was better than everyone else.

"Alright the betting starts at 300 crowns! Get him while you can!" the announcer announced.

Unsurprisingly no one raised their hands. No one said a thing but a few people did laugh. Maybe they thought it was a joke. Eustace looked a bit depressed that no one wanted to buy him. All the other slaves went for 500 crowns.

"Alright, maybe I'll go down half of the price and say 150! You can't a better deal than that ladies and gentlemen! Now have him pick your crops, I swear to you that after a few beatings he will be a willing slave." The announcer said. He looked a bit desperate to be rid of him.

Eustace looked around almost hopefully to see if he would be bought. He wasn't. A little girl could be heard begging for him to be bought by her new master. The master slapped the young girl to get her to be quiet. She whimpered but did nothing else.

"Oh, alright then, I will give him for 50 crowns! I have never given someone away for that much! This is an unbelievable offer! And he will grow some muscles! You can't get a better deal!" The announcer wasn't very cheery any more. He was not smiling and was almost angry.

Once again no one spoke up. Eustace was looking angry. It was probably better to be sold in the end than not being sold at all. And everyone wanted to be wanted.

"Okay! Have him for free! This slave cost no money!"

To nobodies surprise no one spoke up. The not- slave was almost in tears. This was very embarrassing. Now a little boy could be heard asking his new master to buy Eustace. He was pushed down and had a bloody nose. Those two children were probably all friends. Or family.

"Okay, I tell you what. I'll give him away with another slave it will be a two in one deal."

Not one person spoke up. It was probably a good deal. Two slaves to do things, but no one wanted this good for nothing boy. It may have been the look of the boy or the strangeness, but no one even wanted to look at him.

"Okay…um… boy get off the stage so we can sell for some money!" the announcer called two people over to take him away. If you waited in the hall for a bit longer you could hear a few people laughing at the unwanted boy.

No one wanted him.

What did you think? It's my first CS Lewis fic and it just came to me as funny.
