Harry sat behind the empty cauldron by Ron Weasley. The Potions lessons at Hogwarts of Witchcraft and Wizardry were dark, gloomy, and dank. The rooms were dimly lit as the Gryffindors and Slytherins gathered around their own cauldrons in the large, dark room. Professor Severus Snape was standing behind his desk at the front of the class writing directions on the board on how to make a potion due at the end of the class.

Harry went through the motions of the potion, but was not paying much attention to what he was doing. He was thinking of what he would be doing later on that night. He planned to meet Ginny Weasley in the Owlery after dinner. They met there nightly, or if it was not possible, every other night. They spent their time kissing, talking, and just enjoying their time together. Harry spent most of his time outside that Owlery and away from her, thinking about her.

Their own private joke was that one of them had used a love potion on the other, but both knew it was only a joke. Ginny had brought it up the first night.

"Harry," she had whispered, as he kissed her neck. "Are you only here, because you drank that goblet of pumpkin juice?"

He didn't stop trying to seduce her as he whispered, "No, I'm here... because of this --" he kissed her collar bone. "-- and this --" he kissed below her ear. "-- and this." He brought his lips to her lips and dived his tongue in her mouth.

She gasped and whispered, "But Harry, I put a love potion in that goblet!"

He pulled away and laughed. She started to laugh, too. "Right, Ginny," he said, grinning. "But I do believe I thought of this night long before dinner."

The first night had carried on and been enjoyable for both. Now, two months later, they still had fun joking about the supposed love potion in the pumpkin juice. One night, a month after the first night, he even brought some pumpkin juice to their meeting and that led to a long time of loving and laughing.

Suddenly, as if breaking out of a dazed state, Harry heard the bell to single the end of class ring from afar. Harry stopped mid-thought for a moment, and then turned towards his cauldron. He realized with a slow smile that he had made the potion Snape assigned perfectly without a thought to it.

Harry grabbed his things and walked out of class with Hermione and Ron. Ginny was standing at the top of the stairs, waiting for him as if she had read his mind and couldn't wait for this night to begin as much as him. Neither of the couple spoke as they grabbed hands and walked to the Great Hall for dinner together,

"I hope there is pumpkin juice tonight," Ginny said from his side with a laughter in her voice.
