"What happened?" Loki strolled in with a cup of coffee in one hand, a paper in the other. The office is in an uproar – Fury is making phone calls, Coulson won't leave his office and Steve Rogers is desperately trying to avoid being put in the line of fire. Darcy grins up beneath her glasses, and nudges a file drawer closed, but the god sees a strange assortment of things: plastic wrap, boxes of salt, bottles of strange dye -
"I got tired of listening to them whine." she replies, watching as another chain email makes it's round through the building. And it had gotten really bad (evil gods, stupid latverian dictators, and that canadian mutant who liked to give coulson the finger), and she'd never had a lot of patience for whining and playing the blame game. That's why she was in political science, learning how to call people out for being an idiot and getting away with it.
Loki sips his coffee, amused.
"Is it my birthday?" he asks dryly.
Darcy salutes with a cheeky smile.
