The Rules: Use the word dream twice in a fairy tale
Dream Come True
Let the Good Times Roll, Let the Good Times Roll…
Once upon a time seemed like such a good beginning. Everything was supposed to be perfect with a beginning like that. With a beginning like that her every dream was supposed to come true, this was a fairy tale after all.
He smiled at her from his seat across from her on the train, she felt her insides melt at the smile, he was so perfect, her perfect prince charming and she loved him. She smiled back as warmth caressed her cheeks at the direction of her thoughts.
And I want these words to make things right
But it's the wrongs that makes these words come to life
They were meant to be; there couldn't be a better explanation than that. She had to tell him, she had to tell so he could tell her.
"Roxas…"
"Yeah Olette?" He replied looking up at her from his seat.
"Can we talk?"
"Yeah sure." He replied with a smile as he grabbed her hand and moved with her to a quieter part of the compartment.
"I-uh.. I love you!" The words tumbled out of her mouth in a rush.
Been looking forward to the future
But my eyesight is going bad
In her perfect world in her perfect fairy tale, all her dreams would come true and he would sweep her off her feet with a dazzling kiss and return her love. However, someone had forgotten to tell her that fairy tales weren't what they were in a Disney movie that almost all of the fairy tales ended in perfect tragedy, and the princess was left with a dream unfulfilled.
I'm gonna make you bend and break
(It sends you to me without wait)
"Thanks?" Came his confused reply.
"Thanks?!?" She repeated somewhat hysterically.
"Olette, are you okay?" Roxas asked concerned, like he had admitted his undying love for her and she wasn't responding.
"Am I okay? No, no, no, this isn't right, it came out all wrong. This isn't how it works!" She mumbled.
"Olette…"
"No, no,no! Just say it!" She told him.
It's always cloudy except for
When you look into the past
Because when it came down to it, in the end of it Sleeping Beauty stayed asleep for a very long time and when she was finally reawakened she didn't know how to live. Snow White was killed, and the Little Mermaid died because her prince fell in love with someone else. Once upon a time was always a wonderful beginning but it didn't mean anything if in the end the girl was alone crying over her broken dreams.
Thanks for the memories
even though they weren't so great
"Olette, I do love you. You're the sister I never had." Roxas told her honestly.
"Of course." Her words were bitter in her voice.
"I you know I just met this girl, named Namine and I think I love her." Roxas continued with a smile, as if what she said was nothing. He was so funny that way, he didn't want to fully understand what she said because that would mean he would have to face it and possibly break her heart, he thought he was saving her but if anything this hurt more.
"I don't think you understood me." Olette murmured under her breath.
"Olette, life isn't a fairy tale." Roxas told her seriously.
"That, is obvious." She told him bitterly.
"Thanks for riding home with me." She told him a little later as she gathered her shattered dream and heart and stepped off the train. He didn't deserve to see he cry. Because the horrible truth was that her story didn't end in and they lived happily ever after.
Well, I actually think I did a good job on this one! YAY! Reviews are nice...
