Avada Kedavra

Chapter one

Kings Cross Station

"Wake up April! It's the first day of school!" that would be my little sister Emily. She's jumping on my bed just like she does every time she is excited about something. "Go jump on your own bed!" I groan but she didn't listen, she never does. So she continued to yell, "Come on get up!" It's her first year at Hogwarts so I know why she is excited this time. "Fine, now get out of my room so I can get dressed." "Okay, You better get up." Emily glared at me for the last bit. Once she left and closed the door I got up and started getting dressed and brushing my hair. I looked at my trunk on the floor; it's been packed for a while now. I took my journal and packed it into my school bag then I took out my robes and packed them on top of my school books and homework in my school bag. I picked up my bag and trunk and lugged it out of my room to bring it downstairs. I went down the yellow with black, red with yellow, and blue with bronze striped hallway. Only my door and about 3 inches from my door was green and silver because I am the only Slytherin in my family and I hate it because I got teased by my siblings, but I like it because it makes me different. My younger siblings Sarah's, Emily's, James', and the three empty room's doors were still just white because they weren't sorted yet, But Emily's soon would be colored. Before I knew it I was down the stairs and in the kitchen. Of course everybody but Sarah and James were already up and eating breakfast ready for the day, I walked to the table to see a big plate of waffles on the long, clear table top. With my siblings sitting around the table, Joshua, the twins Claire and Samantha, Brandon, Garrett, the triplets Julia, Granville, and Michael, Sandy, Brian, and Emily. We ate in silence while Sandy and Garrett were looking for some available jobs in the "Daily Prophet" Gringotts had a job open for extra security, Zonko's had openings for some new testers, and Honeyduke's needed more sweet makers. Even the Ministry had openings for Auror's and people to work in the anti-muggle department; "Keep muggles out of the wizarding world" is their motto. I could also see a mug shot on the front page. It said that a murderer was on the loose. Figures it seems like there is always someone out there who wants to kill people. "Hey mum, this job doesn't sound so bad, maybe I should stop by Honeyduke's to see if I could apply for the job." Sandy said, "I've always wanted to learn how to make those sweets." Brandon giggled, "Yeah and will we get a discount? Or will you have to pay full price too?" I wanted to say, 'Well obviously they will give her a discount because if she works hard enough then she will deserve it. But there is a possibility that they won't give you a discount if business is slow sense they need more people to make the sweets then that means they don't have enough in stock and need to get more money or they'll go out of business.' But I decided this conversation wasn't worth my time. I went back up the stairs to pack some parchment, my quill, and an ink bottle in my school bag, just in case I needed them. I sat there on my bed looking at my dark green walls. I am the smartest out of the bunch, I've read all my school books, finished all my homework the first week back from school so I could have a whole break to my journal. But I also can't wait to go to school. I can do whatever I unless it's against the rules even though I'll break the rules occasionally. When I looked at my watch I was surprised, the time went by so quickly. I rushed downstairs with my bag on my shoulder. I took my wand in my hand and put it in my school bag on the way down then zipped it shut. "Are you all ready to go now?" mother asked us all. We nodded, grabbed her hand, and apperated.
