Sup guys, Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Lion King. Enjoy the 1000-word chapter. I don't own Lion King; Disney and a few others do.

(Pride Lands, 2 hours after Beware the Zimwi.)

Geslepe continued his climb up the rocks as he looked behind him, to anyone else, the Lion cub looked almost like his sibling, Kion. The only differences were his fur was a lighter shade of yellow, he had piercing blue eyes and his mane was grown in more and red rather than his brother's orange.

"Geslepe, wait up, your faster than half of us!"

One voice behind him said as Geslepe continued to climb, he and his group were just returning back from exploring, something Geslepe loved to do more than anything.

He turned and spoke up to the small cream-colored Lioness Cub behind him, his blue eyes meeting her orange ones as her poof of head hair waved in the wind.

"Taii, we're almost home, relax…. Besides, the Pride Pack doesn't complain, I didn't force you guys to come with me on that adventure."

The young prince said as he hopped up another rock before climbing another, the rest of the Pride Pack had already returned to their homes, leaving the young Lions as the last ones to return to Pride Rock since the day was over as they continued to climb.

"Ugh, your something else, Geslepe… Did you even plan anything today out or just winged it like you always do?"

Taii asked as Geslepe rolled his eyes and continued to climb, only stopping to speak when he reached the top of the cliff.

"I don't 'wing it' for anything, Taii…. I plan everything out in my head and then do it from what I've mapped out…. You didn't have to come with me to talk to the Leopards… I could have asked Leier… As much as I don't like him."

Geslepe said, muttering the last part under his breath as he walked towards the den. Taii sighed, knowing she wouldn't win an argument with the prince as she spoke up once more.

"You always have to be curious… Even if your 5-…."

Taii started to say as Geslepe shook his head before speaking.

"3 days. I was born 3 days after my brother and… I don't know how long after my sister…. And it isn't just me being curious, I'm just trying to become smarter as I get older…. I wasn't called the most cunning for nothing a few years ago… Third Born or nothing."

Geslepe said as Taii rolled her eyes and left to find her mother as Geslepe continued to walk towards the den before his ears twitched as someone behind him spoke up.

"Geslepe!"

The Young prince heard as he turned to see his brother as he grinned and spoke up.

"Kion, what have you been up to, bigger brother? I was just talking to the Leopards, making sure they agreed to keep their peace treaty…. What were you up to, being leader of the Lion Guard must be tiring."

Geslepe said, his voice not mocking nor angry as Kion nodded, leading the Lion Guard was one thing, today's task of tracking and dealing with the 'Zimwi' had tired the second born prince out more then he thought it would.

"Yeah, what did you do today, Geslepe?"

Kion asked as Geslepe cracked his neck, neither noticed the lion watching them from the tall brush as they spoke.

"Helped a group of Leopards out near the edges of the Pride lands…. It isn't easy being the leader of a team… Then again, I guess you already knew that, big brother…. We should get some rest; tomorrows adventures might drain us even more than they do now."

Geslepe said as Kion nodded and ran to greet their parent as Geslepe rolled his eyes. He didn't hate his brother for being leader of the Lion Guard, he simply wished he had something to do after he got up, the Leopards he and the Pride Pack had helped since the Lion Guard was busy dealing with the monster Geslepe had heard them talking about.

"Ugh, maybe I should get some rest for tomorrow… And tomorrow I could help Kion or something… It isn't like the Pride Pack has anything else to do…. Unless they decide to come exploring with me out of 'guilt'…."

Geslepe said under his breath as he cracked his neck and walked into the den, he passed Taii who was talking to Kiara as he rolled his eyes.

"Sis."

Geslepe said simply as he walked over to his brother, picked a spot farther away from Kion and laid down to sleep as his ear twitched and he heard the Lionesses in the den move out of the way, that could mean only one thing.

His parents had come to rest or something else.

"Geslepe, where did you go today? I know where Kion went but-…."

Simba started to say before Nala cleared her throat, Geslepe opened one eye to look at his mother as he spoke up.

"Helping with the Leopards, we have the Pride Pack for a reason, dad…. I'm fine before you freak out."

Geslepe said as he yawned and laid down to sleep as Taii rolled her eyes as Simba went to question his sons best friend.

(Edge of the Pride lands.)

The Lion Cub continued to stalk through the tall grass as she made her way back to the Outlands, her blue eyes blinked as she moved through the grass, her dark peach fur, dark eye rims, the tuff of fur on her head, and striped black ears made her stand out but she kept herself concealed in the tall grass.

Her name was Vitani and she had to tell her mother about the new lions, she couldn't hear entirely what they had said but she knew it would please her mother to hear something from the Pride Lands if it weakened Simba.

It might even be fun for her if she was lucky.

Author notes

Phew, first chapter is done! I haven't watched all of Lion Guard but I've seen enough to know it's a good show… As for Geslepe, I will explain more about him and the Pride Pack next chapter. I also decided to start this story before 'Lions of the Outland's since Geslepe and Vitani will be meeting a lot. Until tomorrow, Lighting Wolf out!
