Human
"Hey, do you hear that?"
Axel looked over at his companion, still trying to catch the drips from his own sea salt ice cream. "Didn't catch that. What did you say?"
Roxas set his own finished ice cream stick down and stood, moving towards the door that led to the bottom of the Twilight Town clock tower. "There are a lot of people down there. I want to see what's going on." He began descending the stairwell, ignoring the other's cries of 'wait up!'
The sound, which he soon recognized as music, grew louder as he neared the door to the street. He stood in the doorway, concealed in the shadows as he watched the people sway and move to the song.
"Ah, a carnival. You see these occasionally. Looks like they're having fun." Axel had come up behind Roxas and was watching over his shoulder. He glanced down, chuckling slightly at the blonde's amazed look. "Memories?"
The blond shook his head. "I've never been to one. What are they doing?"
"Dancing, of course." Axel laughed again. Roxas's naivety never ceased to amuse him. "What, don't tell me you've never danced!" The only response was another shake of the head. "Then you'll learn."
Roxas was suddenly forced to tear his eyes away from the show before him as Axel pulled him away from the door. "It's actually really simple, if you don't do anything overly complex." Roxas rolled his eyes at the repetitive sentence but was ignored. "Your hands go here..." Axel took Roxas's hands and placed them on his own shoulders, "and mine here." Roxas felt familiar hands at his waist. "Then... we dance."
It was an extremely simple movement: sway back and forth with small steps, and occasionally turn. Roxas found it rather pleasant, save for one factor. Due to the difference in height between the two nobodies, the only way he could actually reach the red head's shoulders was if he was standing nearly flush against him. Axel didn't seem to mind though, Roxas noted, looking up. The red head was as calm as he had ever seen him with his eyes closed and a small smile on his face, one much different from his usual smirk. Sighing slightly to himself, Roxas rested his head on Axel's chest and felt the grip on his waist tighten.
"It's weird... doing normal things sometimes," Roxas said after a long time of silent dancing. "We're not supposed to feel human."
Axel peeked open an eye and paused for a moment. "It's not a bad feeling though, is it?"
Roxas didn't raise his head from the other's chest. "No, I don't think so. It's... sort of fun, actually."
A brilliant, unseen smile spread over Axel's face. "Then we'll be sure to do them more often, okay?"
"Okay."

My challenge to everyone: go out and dance a little! Thank you so much for reading!
