"Is something wrong, Eugene?" Rapunzel asked, placing her hands on her frazzled husband's shoulders.

He looked back at her and smiled, "I'm just a bit anxious about the baby, and you for that matter."

"I'll be fine and so will our baby." She walked in front of his chair and plopped down between his legs, "But if you're really worried, I could use a back massage," she added with a wink.

He rubbed her back gently, knowing that when she wanted a back rub it wasn't to get knots out. She may be tough in other ways, but she's still fragile like porcelain. He knew, though she tried not to show it, that the pregnancy was taking a major toll on his dear Rapunzel. "I know this is harder on you than you're letting on…" he said slowly, "I just care about you, that's all."

"Eugene…" she replied, wanting to be annoyed, but couldn't help but smile, "I guess that's not so bad…plus the baby is coming any day now! Then it'll be alright."

"I'm not looking forward to watching you in so much pain…" he replied softly.

She turned to him and kissed him, "Baby Fitzherbert will be worth it, I promise."

For the next two days, the kingdom was helping the new king and queen prepare for the birth of their first child. Maximus was in charge of making sure no one disturbed the new queen without permission. Rapunzel giggled at his persistence, thinking it was sweet, but over kill, not knowing that it had been Eugene's idea. Pascal kept her company when Eugene was out, and kept Maximus company when Eugene was able to be with Rapunzel.

Then came the day of the birth of the new royal. Rapunzel was painting a portrait of Pascal when a sharp pain came about. She dropped her paint brush and gasped. Pascal started to freak out, he had absolutely no idea what to do. Rapunzel slowly went to her bed, "Get Eugene…" she whispered between gritted teeth.

Pascal ran to find the king. He squeaked about trying to ask people where he was without success. Eventually, Pascal found Maximus, whom was able to understand his frantic squeaks. Maximus ran into the castle, neighing. The guards had no idea what to do, so they ran for Eugene. "King, the guard horse is going ballistic!"

Eugene ran to Maximus and saw Pascal on his back, "It's time?" he asked Pascal, who quickly nodded in response. Eugene ran as fast as he could to the bed room. "Rapunzel, are you alright?" he asked. Her only response was an agonizing scream. Eugene was afraid that Rapunzel would have the same trouble her mother did with her pregnancy. "Oh, Rapunzel," he held her hand, "Please be alright."

"I'm fine…" she barely finished the word fine before she screamed again, "this is normal, Eugene," she gave him a slight smile, failing to mask her pain.

After a few hours of pain, screaming, and a very nervous husband, a beautiful baby girl was born. Rapunzel was breathing heavily as she smiled at the bundle of joy in her arms. "She looks just like you," she breathed out.

"Nah, I think she looks like you," Eugene replied. The baby girl clearly had her mother's eyes, but most of her other features mimicked her father.

"She has your nose," Rapunzel giggled, remembering his obsession with his nose on the Wanted posters.

"I'll admit to that…" he said quietly.

"And your jaw. And hair."

"We're both brunette, Rapunzel," he said, chuckling at the memory of him constantly referring to her as Blondie.

She smiled up at him, "I love you, Eugene."

"I love you too," he kissed her, "Both of my little ladies are beautiful."

Rapunzel smiled at their daughter, "I like Kylee. Kylee Jean Fitzherbert," she said quietly.

"I like that too."

This just popped into my head this morning(: Kylee Jean Fitzherbert is the name of my Build a Bear with the Rapunzel dress. Happy Easter!
