Summary: He can't help but admire this Aizen character - a man with almost hollow-like ambition. He can't help but hope he [his king] will tear those same ambitions around the death-god's ears. [Oneshot response to poll. Hichigo and Aizen.]
For Hichigo - a moniker bestowed upon a nameless construct of negative energy - the villainy of Aizen Sosuke would have been more welcome if his King had possessed it.
As a hollow, all he wanted was power. To be strong. To have the power to find and devour and consume and destroy until he could fill the gnawing void that prickled at him around the hole in his heart. For now he would depend on his other-self, the light sided Ichigo, but he craved the need to get what he needed without having to cajole and rabble-rouse his King. Being a horse sucked.
Mostly, he hated when it rained.
Aizen was a man he could admire. Sure, he was a shinigami, and sure, he was an enemy of the King. But his ambition was so great, his lust for power and destruction so absolute, that it made that of most hollows pale in comparison.
Hichigo snorted. Compared to the human-seeming shinigami, all hollows were 'pale'.
Of course, as a hollow, this admiration of a man who could be King translated to something else. He wasn't planning on supporting or passively watching this crazy shinigami climb to power. Oh no. His own instincts burned inside him with a cold fire that shadowed the pain in his heartless breast.
He would help his Own King - the light side reflection of himself - until such a time as they could take Aizen's power and ambition and goals, and maybe even the throne itself, and tear them from Aizen's grasp and crush the evil bishonen beneath their combined heel.
He allowed himself a moment bask in the idea. His King, no longer afraid of his own darker emotions - of the nameless primal part of himself that had manifested as a hollow. Himself and the King as one being, slaughtering Aizen and filling the void left in his heart from when his mother had been cut from their lives...
(...how odd. He had never identified with Ichigo like that before...)
...of being master of himself as a whole and having the strength and power to protect and destroy as he chose instead of what else was chosen for him.
And then he stopped himself. And he focused. If Ichigo refused to accept him, then he would destroy his King piece by piece until he did. Even if he had to crave a hole into the boys chest with his bare hands to make him accept they were the same.
Because he was a hollow, and destruction was his speciality.
