I wrote this up really quickly when it popped into my head when I saw this pic over on DA (remove the spaces): rathvamp .deviantart art/ Price- of -a- Miracle - 402698437

The only other note it will make is that this is M!MU/Robin I didn't say the name of who he is married to so that whoever reads this can imagine whoever they want, considering that you can him up with any of the girls in the game. The picture in the link above shows Lucina, but I think it's more fun to let you picture your favorite pairing.

Enjoy!~

There wasn't as much cheering as one would think there should be, considering that their greatest enemy was now gone for good, never to cause such tragedy again. But at what cost? The greatest friend and possibly greatest tactician to ever live, was now gone as well, having sacrificed himself to secure everyone's happiness and safety. Except they were anything but happy, especially those that were closest to them. Three in particular: his best friend the Exalt, his daughter, and the woman he loved above all else. The last of which was left standing there on the battlefield, collapsed to her knees where he had faded away.

As if by some cruel twist of fate, the only thing that remained of him was the coat that he always wore, sitting in front of her. Holding back a sob, she slowly reached out and picked it up before throwing it around her shoulders and putting the hood up. It still smelled like him... She pulled the hood down father and held it there, feeling the first of many tears beginning to escape. Had it really all been worth it? Did he really have to go and sacrifice himself like that? ...Of course he did, because that's the kind of person he was. He wasn't so selfish as to simply put their greatest enemy back to sleep to be unleashed on the world again after a time just so that he could have a happy ending. No, he was the type to put others first even if it meant forgoing his own happiness. She instead he chose to end the cycle of death and destruction so that the world and everyone he cared for would be better off.

But she didn't feel any joy at his decision, for at that moment she wished that he had been selfish for once in his life and was still here with her, instead of only the memories and a coat that should have him in it.

In the end...were the stars really any brighter?
