It was never my intention to break them up. They just weren't a good fit for each other. I mean a vampire and a human? How crazy was that? I would have been better for him, especially if everything had gone my way. My name is Tanya Denali and this is the story of how I broke up the perfect couple that was never really perfect at all.
It all started when I moved down to Forks from Alaska a few months ago. My cousins, the Cullens, were living in Washington for the time being so that Edward could spend time with his girlfriend, Bella. Everyone else called her his mate but I had to disagree. They couldn't be meant for each other. Bella wasn't perfect. I had overheard rumors about her and her scary past.
Bella was not the nicest girl. She was mentally deranged. This girl who Edward considered absolutely perfect was really more of a monster than he was. Bella used to cut and was believed to be bulimic. Her clothes were often baggy and her appearance gave you the impression that she didn't care. She dated around but I guess no one really fit her right because patterns began to become obvious. She would date a guy for a few weeks, sleep with him, and then claim to be pregnant. Once she even spread a rumor about being raped in a bathroom stall. But then she met Edward. And I guess he thought she had changed because he fell in love with her and then suddenly she was part of the family. She didn't claim to be pregnant. She didn't say she was raped. And she stopped cutting for him. But that didn't change who she was. People don't change that much.
When I first moved to Forks, Bella was still going to some 'special' school for girls like her. I bonded with Edward in the one class we had together. We had something special. We talked everyday after school. We hugged every time we saw each other. But then everything changed. Bella transferred back to Forks High where Edward and I were going and she saw what we had.
