Gary Oak had almost everything. He was a skilled trainer, had many fans and many friends. But the one thing he didn't have was love.
Ash had just returned from Hoenn. He arrived at Pallet early that morning and had fell asleep when he came home. He woke later that evening and went to visit the Professor, Oak. He came into his lab and was surprised to see Gary, staring out the window. "Gary?" Gary turned around to see Ash Ketchum, his oldest friend standing behind him, surprised to see him. "Hey Ash! How' ya been?" Ash rubbed his arm nervously. "Good. What are you doing here, I thought you had left?!" "Yea, I was gone for a while". The door opened and Professor Oak walked in. "Ash! How are you?" asked the Professor. "Good! Nice to see you. And nice to see you, Gary." "I'd like you to stay, Ash but Delia told me to tell you to go back home, she wants to see you." Ash was surprised. "Hmm. Ok, I'll see you later!"
"That was weird Pikachu." He was back in his house, lying on his bed. "I walked into the lab and Gary was just staring out a window. You would think he would have something to do, like impress girls or train his pokémon." "Pika pi!" said Pikachu, in an agreeing tone. "Ash! You have a visitor!" Ash's mother shouted up to him. He got up and walked downstairs. Sitting at the table was non other than Gary Oak. "Pika?" "Oh, hey Ash, Pikachu!". Gary looked very happy to see them. "Could we go and erm… battle outside?" He didn't look very convincing. Ash knew something must've been up with him. "Eh.. Sure." "Cool! Meet you outside!
"Ash, I needed to tell you something." He looked nervous. "I've been really down when I travel. I feel like I shouldn't but I just am. I feel like there is something missing from before we had pokémon, when we were small." "What is it? Spit it out?" Ash was getting nervous as well. "Pika?" Gary's face had turned a brighter red than the centre of a Starmie. "Ash, I think I'm gay."
