I'm new to fanfiction and I love Pucktana.
They stared across the table,
Though never meeting eyes
Each of their right hands,
Poised above the paper,
Waiting to start a dance across the line.
Isn't it funny,
Terribly funny
That a pen,
So small,
Could stab like a knife
Through your heart.
Isn't it silly,
Terribly silly,
That you could still be sad,
After all these nights of fighting,
After all the days of crying.
And so,
As you walk away
Away from the courthouse,
The courthouse,
That held good memories,
That had now turned bad.
You remember
The day you proposed
Her smile and her laugh
When you knelt down in the snow.
You wonder if she remembers the day you married,
At the courthouse,
The courthouse where your heart was made whole,
Then ripped apart.
Maybe she remembers,
But love can't last forever,
Not if you let it go,
Not if it slips through the cracks,
In your clutching hands
Not if it can't show.
Love can't last forever,
It ends, love end
Not infinite
But finite.
Not a beginning
But an end.
I hope you guys like it. I will be doing more Pucktana stories that aren't poems, but when I wrote it I thought it fit them well. Tell me if I should add more and whether it should continue as poems or add writing that goes along with this poem. Thx!
