Terra kicked the bird boy away, breaking his staff. She flipped up to her feet, flying toward him.

"I'm not some sad little girl who's waiting to be rescued," she snarled, "I wanted to be this way. I wanted to go with Slade. I wanted to annihilate you and your pathetic friends!"

With a flick of her hand, she threw a boulder at him. He flew back a few feet. As he struggled to get up, she knocked him down once more with another boulder. Finally she stood over him, holding a third boulder up above.

"And now I never want to see your face again." she added, letting it drop.

Much Later...

Slade smirked underneath his mask. "You see, my dear apprentice," he said, "now that you belong to me, the city belongs to us."

Terra smiled and nodded. 'Us.' she silently agreed.

However, the villains didn't realize that the Titans were still alive, only several meters beneath their feet. Starfire lit up the room with an eerie green light, looking up with disgust. Raven was tending to Robin's injuries while Cyborg was repairing himself. Beast Boy was just sitting there, fists clenched tight.

"No more chances." Cyborg grunted, pulling out a shard of rock from his arm.

"No more trust." Starfire agreed.

Raven scowled, "And no more mercy."

Beast Boy snapped his head to the side, as if turning away from his mixed emotions. "She's just another criminal." he seethed.

"And we're going to stop her," the leader assured his team, "no matter what it takes."

The others nodded solemnly. Starfire held her hand up further. Cyborg scanned the room around them.

"We'll probably be able to start tunneling in a few days." he said.

"But where will we go? We cannot go home." Starfire asked.

Cyborg shrugged, "I don't know Star. Slade's probably gonna have the entire city crawling with droids. We may not be able to surface."

"We'll have to," Beast Boy said, "We can't just let Slade take over."

"And if we surface too soon, Terra will finish what she started." Robin replied.

"But if we wait too long, it'll be too late!" Beast Boy protested.

There was a moment of silence.

"I know."

That was seven years ago.

Since then things have changed, and not for the better. We've all gone our separate ways while Slade has proceeded to wipe out the entire city. Terra, now Tara, has become powerful under his control. She willingly hunts and destroys anyone at his command. That's why it's so hard to keep the resistance together.

I haven't seen any of my friends for a long time. We're scattered across the city, doing what little good we can during this chaos. However, it's not enough. We need the Titans together again to defeat Tara and her master.

My name is Koriander and I am holding onto my last hope.
