~*~*~*~*~*~
Katie Bell wanted to murder someone. But she couldn't.
The person she wanted to murder was already dead.
"If you weren't dead, I'd kill you!" she screamed to no one. She was alone in a huge field. The rain was pouring down. It nearly reflected her mood.
As if on cue, there was a flash of lightning almost immediately followed by a loud clash of thunder.
There. Now it reflected her mood.
"I hate you!" she screamed. "Why'd you have to go and die!?"
She dropped onto her knees, tears mixed with raindrops running down her face.
"I love you!" she sobbed. "And you went and died! And you left me alone."
She didn't know what to do. She was lost without him.
"We were going to get married!" she sobbed. "I loved you, and we were going to have kids and get married, and live in a big house and have everything!"
She looked up at the sky, the rain blurring her vision and stinging her eyes. "I'm pregnant you know," she screamed. "Yeah! And you left me alone! I never even got to tell you!"
She fell down into the grass, laying across the ground, not wanting to move.
Ever again.
She wasn't sure how long she laid there. It could have been seconds, hours, or even days. But eventually, she was vaguely aware that she was hungry.
But she didn't care. She could lie here and die for all she cared.
But her baby couldn't.
With a final sob she stood up and weakly made her way to her flat. She had to keep going. She had to be alright. Not for herself, because without him, she was nothing, but for her baby.
She had to be alright for her baby.
"I love you, Fred Weasely," she whispered as she left the field. "And I always will."
