I do not own the Gallagher Girls. I hope you like it and it isn't too confusing, although I do want you guys to try and figure out what happened, and what it is all about.
With the Thunder
The thunder rolled throughout the valley, shaking all that was within its grasp. The long grass rumbled and the trees shake with the violent vibrations made by the thunder and me, I stood there as steady as a rock, unmovable, firm, tenacious and strong. I am strong as I watch the man that just saved my life, the man that helped me defeat the Circle, the man that just lost all of his family, the man that has nothing to lose, and the man that I love, walk away from me.
The fights over, we won, I stand victorious and strong in the pouring rain, holding a small piece of metal, and a disintegrating piece of paper that was slowly evaporating in the rain. I don't need to read it to know the truth; I don't need it to be strong. I hold my head up and draw in a breath and drop both of the items I held and let them fall to the ground. One slow and swaying back and forth until it flutters to the ground delicately, and the other drops like a weight, heavy and fast and lands with a thud sending dirt in every direction, but it doesn't touch me as I run through the tall grass. My voice is lost to the thunder overhead as I scream his name, but somehow he hears me and turns just in time to catch me as I jump into his arms.
I put my lips next to his ear and whisper "next time I'll be braver, I'll be my own savior, standing on my own two feet. It's time to say good-bye."
I hear him let out a breath and say "for now, only for now."
"I know I have a fickle heart and a bitterness, but don't you forget, don't you ever forget me." I said looking deep into his eyes.
"Don't you remember?" he points to himself, just like he used to, gave me a small smirk, just like he used to, and said "Spy." I smile and put my lips on his.
"I'll be back with the thunder." Were his last words to me before he disappeared into the trees.
Just twenty feet away rain makes a delicate sound as it hits off the cold metal of the emblem of the Circle of Cavan, the only thing left of them. While the paper vanishes taking the message with it. As I take one last look at the place he vanished from, turn and smile as I walk in the opposite direction. Behind me the note is almost gone, but there is still writing discernable on it,
The tables have turned, but remember I love you, and always will.
