What's a Kiss, Kari? Two small children, not much older than toddlers, looked up at the top of the doorway.
"What's that plant called again, Kari?" asked the boy.
"It's called mistletoe, TK," replied the girl, with an air of authority almost comical in one so young.
"What's it for?"
"I heard that if you give someone a kiss under it it means you'll get married someday."
"Oh." The boy paused, still a bit confused. "What's a kiss, Kari?"
"You silly, haven't you ever seen Peter Pan? A kiss is a tiny little thing like a button or a pebble."
They stared up at the mistletoe for a while longer. Then TK took something out of his pocket and held it out to Kari. It was a shimmery pink pebble.
