I am not nor will I ever be JKR. I am just a crazed fan who was forced to
write a 7 page research paper on augmented reality and started writing this
to release some stress. Some friends told me that this was good so I am
posting what I have. Too bad ENC1101 teachers don't tell us to solve
fictitious problems from books in research paper form. . . I just might
have gotten a better grade.
Squib Studies
By Kelpie Snape
For many of our world, simple actions such as levitation and brewing a simple cold potion can be quite a laborious effort. Though there are many 'Qwik Study' programs offered there is little to no evidence that they actually work. Today what we need to understand is not necessarily the cure, but the disease, for if we cannot properly diagnose the disease than what good is the cure. The symptoms, possible causes, and problems should be looked at more carefully than in the past if we wish to stop this condition from reaching an epidemic level.
Each symptom must be studied at the most fundamental level before we can make any assumptions on how they should be treated. Could it be as the earlier beliefs on this mater stated, that this disease is genetic? Or, could it be a virulent virus that attacks babies because they haven't built up an immunity to it yet? Until the answers to these questions are found we will only be able to classify them on how it appears they manifest themselves in the patient. The symptoms of squibus mutanus can be classified as either a lack of magic, an inability to perform, or in the rarest of cases, an infection which absorbs one's magic.
