A/N: Goodness me, it's been a long time since I uploaded anything, and a lot longer since I wrote the following poem-y oneshot. It's nothing great, but I was just rereading it after a long time, and I just really wanted to upload it. I know it's not wonderful, but I'm proud of it none the less.
I'm sure I wasn't the only one who began to ship Tumnus/Lucy after seeing the first Narnia film, and this was inspired by that... Obviously, considering what section it's in.
This isn't really very shippy, just friendly... I mean, Tumnus and Lucy loved each other, not in a romantic way, but from the film, at least, you can see the adoration they had for each other. The Narnia books and films really are magical, and I can't do them justice, but here's my little try. =3
It had been a week.
Seven days.
Half a fortnight.
One hundred and sixty-eight hours.
It had been so long since she'd gone.
Since she'd left.
Since she'd left him.
It had been a week since she'd disappeared.
Since she'd gone missing.
Since she'd gone out and not returned.
Such a long time.
Of course, it hadn't just been her.
It was the rest of them.
The other monarchs.
Her brothers and sister.
They were all gone.
Since that fateful day.
The White Stag had been spotted.
The infamous White Stag.
The White Stag, which was reserved for the royal family.
The royal hunt.
She rode out on that fateful day, full of the joys of youth, with her dainty silver crown and her beautiful red dress.
She told him she'd see him later.
But she didn't.
She didn't see anyone.
And no one saw her.
Before he knew it, a month had passed, then a year.
A decade later he still watched for his little queen.
The first creature to ever show true compassion to him.
His best friend.
The daughter of eve that he'd watched grow from a sweet young girl into a beautiful young woman.
Mr Tumnus searched for her every day for the rest of his life.
He searched for Lucy Pevensie.
Weirdly, it was pretty emotionally draining to write... Feel free to leave a review, if you'd like. =3
