I Hate Everything About You

Gupta opened his eyes to the sound of gentle breathing. Sadiq lay beside him, asleep with his mask halfway off. Gupta slowly got out of Sadiq's bed and grabbed his robe which had been tossed on a chair beside the doorway.

Putting his robe on as he went, he walked down the hallway, past his room and into the kitchen. The dawn's light was seeping in through the thick curtains that Gupta had closed last night. He threw them open and looked out across the wide courtyard in front of his captor's home.

The sun was just rising so that meant he had a few hours until Sadiq awoke to start his daily routine. Heracles on the other hand, would be awake in less than an hour. Gupta set to work on making breakfast for himself and Heracles.

Breakfast was made in what seemed a matter of minutes and set out just as quickly. He hummed a song his mother had taught him, and tapped his, still, bare foot.

A yawn from behind Gupta, alerted him to Heracles presence. He turned and saw the young nation rubbing one eye and clutching a kitten in his other hand. "Morning, Gupta," He said, yawning again.

"Good morning, Heracles. How did you sleep?" Gupta asked, quickly setting some milk in front of the boy.

"Not to good, I kept hearing noises from Sadiq's room," He took a gulp of the milk. "I think he had someone over again."

Gupta gripped the plate he had a little tighter. "Oh, that was very inconsiderate of him."

"I know! He gets mad at me when I have night terrors but then he makes those noises all night," Heracles stated digging into the food on his plate. Gupta watched the boy eat, he had suddenly lost the little appetite he had.

Heracles finished his food quickly and was about to leave but Gupta stopped him. "Take this down to one of the shelters, then go play with some of the other boys," He put all of the food on a tray almost to big for the boy to handle. Heracles nodded and walked out the door and disappeared.

Gupta looked at the sky."Another hour or so until Sadiq wakes up," He stated and cleared the tables of dishes and started to wash them. He was on his last dish when a pair of arms wrapped around him.

"Well, look who's up," Sadiq asked.

"I'm always up this early," Gupta paused, and placed the last dish on the towel to dry. "Last night's events would not change that." He turned around and faced Sadiq, who moved his arms to allow that.

"Oh, then we must not be doing enough," Sadiq smiled and leaned in close. Gupta's hand shot out and removed Sadiq's mask. Sadiq froze and stared at the smaller nation. "Why did you do that?"

Gupta held the mask to his own face, "I've never seen you without it." Sadiq grabbed the mask and set on the counter. He picked Gupta up and set him on the counter beside the mask.

"You could've asked," Sadiq asked, starting to remove Gupta's robe. Gupta just sat there, staring at Sadiq's unmasked face.

"You know I hate everything about you, right?" Gupta stated causing Sadiq to stop what he was doing.

"I never said you had to like me and I never will," Sadiq looked Gupta in the eyes. Gupta shook his head.

"I never said I didn't like you," He slid off the the counter and placed his hand on Sadiq's chest. "In fact, I'm pretty sure I love you."

Argh! Fail story is fail! Well, it seems all I can write are drabbles. Sorry if I made Egypt to OOC, it wasn't my intention but just kind of happened. Well first story-type thing... in a long time, I'm out of practice. DX

Well, please review... it would boost my non-existent moral.
