Hi! My name is Alyssa and this is a little one shot I came up with in Biology class today. I absolutely love Special A and this made me tear up a bit haha. This is my first try at a Special A fan fiction and I want your opinions! Please read and review! I absolutely appreciate any feedback (even negative!)! Oh, and I purposefully omitted "his" name to add a little bit of suspicion. You'll probably guess who it is anyway. Enjoy!

…...

"Hikari," he said. Tears ran in rivulets down his face as his body racked from silent sobs, "Why wouldn't you just listen?"

His old, worn hands gnarled by arthritis lightly brushed her pale, aged face. Though with time came more and more wrinkles, he still believed that she was the most beautiful woman in the world. A look of determination was frozen on her cold face as she lay still on their bed. Another thing that Hikari gained with age was heart problems. She was prescribed many medications for her conditions, but she refused to take them.

"I'm as healthy as a horse! I could even wrestle a bear if I wanted to!" she would say.

"All in moderation, Hikari," he would reply. "Just take it easy."

He had no way to make her take her medication. He had tried getting the cooks to hide it in her food, but she could taste it over the strong seasonings. He had even tried to force feed them to her, but she was stubborn as a mule as always.

He found her early in the morning, still and silent on the bed they had shared for many love-filled years. Years of five absolutely beautiful children (Hikari wanted a big family), friendly competitions, and many misunderstandings. And finally, after hundreds of attempts, Hikari had finally beaten him at something.
He choked back more tears as he brushed a lock of grey hair from her face, "You finally came in first, Miss No. 2."

Kei Takishima gently kissed Hikari's forehead, cheek, and then finally a lingering kiss on her lips. He wiped his eyes, and lay down next to his faithful wife. Kei held her close, took one last bated breath, and then was still.

So did you guess who it was? Tell me what you thought! Please read and review, I'd really appreciate it!
