All it takes is that one smile.
She made you laugh, giggle even, that's all it took for Beca Mitchell to be hooked on one Chloe Beale.
You know what it's like to meet someone who's just a big ball of sunshine?
Well she's sunny and bright and perky.. and annoyingly optimistic and disney-princessy-
well those aren't even real words but those are the words, the exact words that comes to mind when Beca thinks to describe a certain Chloe Beale... besides the obvious fiery red hair and the brightest bluest eyes you've ever seen.
But yes, she likes to compare Chloe to the sun: with all it's brightness- blinding you but at the same time, providing that all so necessary heat. That's exactly what Chloe was, the sun peeking out after a storm-she was summer to Beca's winter, all warm- thawing at her sarcasm and out-of-sortness her emotional stuntedness (not actual words but hey it fits)
And with every bubbly bit of Chloe that comes her way... instead of running in the complete opposite direction... or even putting up fronts, her normal go-to No i don't need any friends leave me alone avoidance techniques-Becca finds herself helplessly welcoming it- because Chloe, is apparently immune to her-to her ways.
No- it's just that, Chloe Beale doesn't seem to understand or acknowledge the existence of certain things, like boundaries.
Chloe can't really be put off so Beca never really had a choice in the matter. Chloe had become her friend, barging in and effectively placing herself in Beca's life, just as she did that fateful day in the showers... with no inhibitions... and no regard for personal space, whatsoever.
and so the only thing Beca finds herself doing, is completely test her self-restraint with things that she normally wouldn't even do or be caught dead doing with other people.
But it's Chloe, and she can reduce her to a simple, somewhat normal girl-the kind who has to bite her lip to hold in all the giggles that seems to be a normal "thing" for her now.
Also becca has now become someone who apparently enjoys physical affection-she sees it as psychological thing, not getting enough as a kid from either of her parents, but Chloe more than makes up for that.
Beca finds herself unknowingly... unwillingly she might add- getting used to...even relaxing into Chloe's touch... to everything really- the cuddles ...she loves cuddles well Chloe's cuddles (not that she gets a lot from anyone else nor would any of them ever try it unless they actually want to be at the receiving end of her death glare)... with Chloe she craves it-, the tickles hand-holding and sometimes here...Beca has to really fight hard
Becca wrestles with the steadily growing urge to kiss her.
an urge becoming all to frequent these days...
and that's just wrong and weird, cos no matter how clueless beca is about the whole having a close friend -you can imagine how close in proximtiy Chloe gets as a friend their practically and literally joined at the hip these days...
she knows just enough that it isn't acceptable to kiss your best friend senseless...
not especially you're first close friend, who happens to also be a girl
not especially Chloe who.. hands out her touches like she hands out her affection, freely openly innocently to everyone-
That's just how she is-and now that Beca knows what it's like being cared for-especially by someone like Chloe, or just Chloe specifically- she knows now, that she can't just loose her to anything or because of anyone...especially herself
And so Beca- just has to deal with her weird confusing feelings, hoping Chloe would go easy on her-because if not, she would be the death of a certain Beca Mitchell.
