For those of you who came from my first story Kaiju, thank you for having faith that this one will be better than the last. For those who haven't read my story, I recommend you do, because this is a sequel to it, I'll try to do the best recap I can, but I can't guarantee it will be enough. As a warning, the first few chapters of that story are pretty bad. (Just warning you.) Anyways, I haven't worked out many ships yet, I'm not too sure on how I'm going to have Endo's character truly interact with Momo yet. Either way, rated M if these bother you, language, some gore, and possible lemon warning, since they're all grown up now, well I mean Endo always was technically, but you get the gist of it.

"Hyperion" - Telepathy, or someone thinking.

"Endo" - Normal conversation.

'WTF' - Text on something, such as a phone or newspaper or someone finger quoting.

Squeak - A sound.

Chapter 1: Return

Ten years ago, today, Akari Endo had left the planet, and he had never returned.

Shoto Todoroki walked into the room and put a hand on his girlfriend's shoulder, "we all miss him Momo."

He said the same thing every single year, she wasn't sure if it was because he truly missed him as well, or if he just wanted her to get over Endo.

No one really believed that he was coming back anymore. After the station that had taken him to the outer reaches of space returned, and he wasn't there, they still had hope that he would come back. But then a year passed, then two, until five years had passed, and everyone just began to accept that he may never come home.

Momo Yaoyorozu's relationship with Endo had been… odd, to say the least. Endo was an immortal, he had lived during the times of Ancient Greece, he was engaged at the time, but then, through some integration no one understood, he was given the first quirk. Not only that, but it was given to him by an extraterrestrial race he had no recollection of. The 'creators' as Endo had called them, gave him the quirk called Kaiju, to destroy the entire planet. But after a battle with an army of quirk users, he hibernated until modern day, where a team of telepaths erased and rewrote his life, so he would become a hero. In the process, they had forced Momo to fall in love with him, in case they ever needed his volatile quirk to be calmed. Eventually, however, a battle with a villain left both Endo's mind and Momo's personality restored. Momo had been pissed at first, but as time went on, she began to feel bad for how harsh she had been on him.

And then, Endo told them he was leaving to find the aliens who did that to him, and he never returned, much to Momo's dismay.

A steaming mug of hot chocolate, her favorite drink, was set in front of her and Shoto began to massage her shoulders. "I need to get going, I'll see you at work." Since he was the head of their agency, Shoto always insisted on getting there early.

She looked down at her wrist, adorned with a golden bracelet, one of the few things she had to remember Endo by. "Ok, drive safe." She liked Shoto, maybe even loved him, but what they had was an arranged marriage, one that was only a few days away.

Endeavor, seeing that Endo was out of the picture, had thrown copious amounts of money at both Momo and her parents, trying to get the marriage settled. The thing was, her parents thought she did love Shoto or at least knew that she liked him and had agreed to get them married.

It was neither her's nor Shoto's idea, but the latter seemed to warm up to the idea rapidly, despite his icy disposition.

Momo no longer held anything other than friendship towards Endo, but she found herself constantly thinking about him as this day had approached. She sighed and activated the other thing she had to remember Endo by, "Nemesis, what's the weather for today." N.N.I.C. was a gift Endo had given her mirroring his own A.I., the Nemesis Neural Implant Chip. Originally, after All Might's last battle, she was going to destroy it due to her anger, but Nemesis started to grow on her. Where he got the name from, Momo had no idea, but she liked Nemesis, the female voice always helped her in battles, or just when she couldn't figure something out on the fly.

Her hero costume always got lots of stares whenever she was out patrolling, and every time she looked at it, she said to herself she would try to figure out a way to change it, but she never did. Momo got in the car, dressed in her hero outfit covered by a jacket. "Nemesis, drive me to the agency."

"Affirmative… warning, villain attack in progress, Shoto has engaged in battle."

"Already?! Ok, drive me to the location of the attack."

"Affirmative"

As soon as she got two miles out, she could see the smoke and debris being kicked up by the battle, she removed her jacket and prepared to create a weapon as she got out of the car, running the rest of the way.

"Number of villains and heroes currently there?"

"Shoto, Midoriya, Bakugo, and Kaminari are all currently engaged in combat against twelve villains."

Momo started to think that was a lot, but then she heard a familiar voice, "DIE!"

Nemesis voiced her opinion on the fight, "the villains don't stand a chance."

By the time Momo reached the fight only two of the villains remained standing, one seemed to be wielding multiple weapons out of his hands, the other was jumping all over the place.

"Yaomomo, duck!"

Momo reacted on instinct and followed the voice's command. A sonic burst went over her head, and she looked back, seeing Kyoka Jiro aiming at the bouncing villain. The creation hero formed two katanas and prepared to face off with the weapon villain, but a voice interrupted her.

"An object has just broken through the atmosphere and is approaching rapidly."

"Take cove-"

A huge blast spread dust everywhere, silencing Momo before she could warn anyone.

Bakugo was coughing, he had been the closest to the object, "what the fuck was that?!"

"Scans indicate a spherical object. There appears to be a person inside."

Everyone was staring at the dark orb, partially obscured by dust, when all of the sudden there was a low growl and glowing red eyes pierced the shroud.

Momo began to step forwards, "it's Endo, he must finally be back!"

But then, the growl turned into a roar, and everyone watched in shock as the man grew, and grew, until he was three hundred and fifty feet tall.

When the smoke cleared Momo knew, this was not Endo. The skin was a light grey, and no signs of armor or any of the other things Endo could create with his quirk. The only similarity was the trident tipped tail sprouting from its back.

Midoriya yelled back at the other heroes, "evacuate the area, myself, Shoto, and Bakugo will handle this."

The three pro heroes launched away to attack the monster, only to get viciously swatted into the ground by its tail.

Momo looked around, the other two villains were now just red stains on the pavement. This was not good. Endo had told them that he was the first Kaiju, but not the last, no one thought that any more would be sent to earth though.

Bakugo and Midoriya were the first to rise back up, launching into the air, and flanking the monster on either sides of its head.

"Detroit-"

"Howitzer-"

"SMASH!"

"IMPACT!"

The two landed their special moves at the same time, obscuring the monster's head, but it didn't fall, in fact, when the smoke cleared, it barely looked fazed. The grey beast used its hands to slap the heroes away from its face like gnats. And then, it looked directly at Momo.

She wasted no time, pulling a cannon out of her body and shooting it as fast as she could manage, Jiro and Kaminari joined her, each with their respective ranged attacks, and Shoto put up an ice wall to slow it. But none of them did anything to faze the beast, except for maybe Jiro's blast and Shoto's ice slowing it.

"Warning secondary object breaking through atmosphere, this one seems much, much larger, but approaching slower."

"Careful! We've got something else coming from orbit!"

"DON'T TELL ME TO BE CAREFUL!" The monster once again slapped Bakugo away, before pausing, and tilting its head.

They all began to hear it, a distinct roar echoing throughout the clouds and city.

The monster looked up and its eyes widened.

"Everyone back up!"

Suddenly a giant black fist broke through the clouds, almost as if in slow motion, a face began to appear, red eyes glowing with anger, and then impact.

The whole street was shook by the collision of the two beasts and dust once again obscured the area.

As Momo gathered with Bakugo and Midoriya at the edge of the crater, they began to hear a voice, "where are the creators?" It was male, baritone, seemed to shake her ribcage almost.

A second weaker voice responded, "I-I don't know."

"Kid stays with me, what was your voice's directive?" The first voice seemed calmer now, trying to soothe the weaker voice.

"To capture."

"Capture who?"

"Her."

Bakugo looked at the others as the second voice became even fainter as if silently asking, "can we attack?"

"I can't see who you're pointing to, give me a name."

There was a gasp, and the second voice sputtered out one last sentence, "please help me."

"You'll be ok, just hold on. It's ok, just rest."

The dust began to clear, showing a figure crouched over another. The crouched one spoke, "dammit."

And as the last of the particles fell to the earth, a pair of glowing red eyes locked with Momo's, swiftly returning to a piercing blue. She gasped, "Endo?"

Endo didn't dislike the earth, and it wasn't the people either, it was his own memories of the place that made him churn inside to see the blue marble again. "Hyperion sitrep on the pod."

"Its current trajectory is pointing it towards Japan, transferring exact coordinates to HUD now."

"Well, I guess it's time for another orbital drop. Jeez, fourth one this month." Endo pulled up an image of his med bay from the 'captain's chair.' Not like he was the captain of anyone, except himself of course. There were six different alien species lying unconscious on his beds, he needed to get them back to their homeworlds after this. There was no curing them.

"Kaiju had made contact with a ground team of heroes, Mi-"

"No time for that, prep the gauntlet with the coordinates."

Endo's armor had evolved over the years, gradually becoming more advanced than anything on earth. About a year ago he had acquired, what someone called a rift engine, in a bet. The thing was the size of a thumbtack but had the ability to teleport to any point on the current planet it was on or near. He didn't understand the tech enough to recreate it. It was light years ahead of what the space station he was on used. The portal generator on that thing took up half of the place, even if it was more powerful.

"Gauntlet prepped."

Endo clenched his fist and it began to hum with energy, just as it seemed it would explode with vibrations, he opened his hand and disappeared with a bang. He always hated this part.

"Stay where you are!" Endo heard Kaminari's voice echo behind him as four little disks slammed into the ground at his feet.

"Kaminari wait!"

But after the fight with a giant monster, the electric user wasn't exactly thinking straight and lightning erupted from his fingertips, tracing towards the disks.

Endo grabbed the guy beneath him by his arms and threw him off to the side, letting himself take the full hit of the lightning. Of course, it didn't really do anything to him though.

As the electricity stopped flowing, Momo jumped in between the two, "it's Endo!"

Everyone's eyes widened with realization, the armor, the quirk, it was him.

He had shot up over the course of ten years, now six-four and even more muscular than the last time he had seen them. But, even when his gaze drifted over them they saw two things, he had a long scar running down the side of his face, but more importantly, he remained somber at the sight of them.

Momo put a hand on his armored shoulder, "Endo?"

He shrugged off her hand and went to grab the unconscious, now shrunken, monster. He took hold of his wrist and clenched his free hand, it started to shake, then he opened it and was gone.

The heroes heard a roaring noise, not unlike that of a rocket, and looked up, seeing a large, oblong, hovering spaceship. Shoto looked at his friends, "Midoriya, Bakugo, don't let him get away!"

The two nodded and launched off the ground at full speed for the ship.

Endo sat down in his captain's chair and sighed, "was that the right thing to do? I probably should've said something, anything, but I just can't, I can't stay here."

An explosion tore through the side of his ship and he looked at the camera feeds to see Midoriya and Bakugo running full speed for the bridge. "Shit. Hull status?"

"Self repairs in process, no permanent damage."

Endo stood, turning towards the doors as they opened. "You broke my ship!"

"AND YOU DITCHED US OLD MAN!"

Midoriya held his hands up, "what Kacchan means to say is-"

"I SAID EXACTLY WHAT I MEANT DEKU!"

Endo sighed, ten years and not much has changed. He interrupted their bickering with his deep voice, "I can't stay."

"Whether or not that's true at least come back down and say hi to ponytail!"

"No."

Midoriya looked shocked, "but, she misses you. We all do. We were expecting some grand reunion when you came back. Not, you saving us from a monster and then teleporting away."

"HE DIDN'T SAVE US, WE HAD IT HANDLED!"

The green haired man ignored the explosive hero, "seriously Endo, come back down with us, just to say hello. Please."

Endo had never wanted to return here, too many memories, too many of them were bad, too many deaths. The problem was, he couldn't get the two, wait what were they? Friends? Rivals? Anyways he couldn't get the two off of his ship without destroying it. "Fine." He walked down towards them and clenched his fist as he did so, causing it to once again charge up. Endo held out his hand, and the two each put their own on top of his.

Momo was pacing back and forth inside the crater, "why did he do that, why didn't he at least acknowledge me?"

"He did acknowledge you, his vitals spiked dramatically when you two made eye contact." Nemesis had the ability to read people's vitals, through some tech Momo didn't understand, but it was kinda nice to know when people were lying or when they were stressed, etc.

"Yaomomo, if you don't stop pacing you're going to wear a trail into the ground." Jiro was slapping Kaminari across the face just next to Shoto, while they all watched her frantically think back and forth.

Kaminari had a dumb grin on his face, "yeah, no need to worry, those two will definitely bring him back down here."

"Maybe they're right, I'm probably just stressing too much, calm down Momo, think logically."

A loud bang interrupted her thoughts, and she turned towards the sound. It was Endo with his back to her, and Bakugo and Midoriya facing her. She saw his body heave a sigh before turning around, "hey."

She froze, all the times she had imagined him coming home, she never imagined it to be so… so… sad. The last thing Endo had said to her was, "no matter what Momo, I'm still just a monster." She had expected him to gain some clarity or peace of mind after ten years, but he only looked more haggard and defeated. She hadn't gotten a good look at it before, but there was now a thick scar running down the right side of his face. His eyes were as blue as ever, but they were still filled with that miserable look, his hair seemed a little shorter as it was tousled by the breeze. "Um, hey."

Endo nodded at the others, "Shoto, Jiro, Kaminari."

The electric user grinned wide at hearing his name, "sorry about that blast."

An armored gauntlet waved it off, "no harm done." He looked expectantly at Bakugo and Midoriya, "ok, now please, I must attend to the host."

"No, we have questions." Shoto stepped forwards and grabbed Endo's arm, earning a dark glare. Shoto was unfazed however, "who was that?"

"The boy himself is no one special, it's what was done to him that matters."

Kaminari raised his hand, as if they were back in class, "and what was done to him?"

Endo scoffed, "I thought it was obvious, the same thing that was done to me. The creators have been busy, I've fought dozens of Kaiju over the years, trying to stop, or, save them, while at the same time trying to get any info out of them I can. But, there are complications, the hosts that the creators use are all from the same planet they are using the Kaiju against, so they want to send a Kaiju to earth, well then they capture a human. So, it's difficult sometimes, to defeat them without serious bodily harm… or death."

"You… killed them?" Jiro had a hand over her mouth.

"What choice did I have, it was that or let the entire planet that was invaded at the time be decimated." Endo sighed, "even when I can just incapacitate them without killing them, shortly after shrinking, they fall into a coma. Something the creators programmed in so that the hosts could never rebel, unlike me."

Momo realized why Endo hadn't gotten any better, he had only been doing more killing, most, if not all of them, were probably innocents. Just before he left, Momo had figured he would only have to kill the creators, but Endo being Endo, realized he was one of the only people who could fight the evil Kaiju and did this to himself.

This was confirmed when Jiro asked, "why did you have to fight them?"

Endo seemed to be getting more aggravated by the second, "why?! Seriously, that Kaiju you just fought shrugged off all your attacks like they were nothing!"

Kaminari once again raised his hand, seemingly enjoying himself, "what about that giant robot from the training camp, that thing kicked your ass from what I heard."

"I still killed it, but also I was limiting myself so I didn't kill all of you. Four hundred feet is not my max height, and I could've let the membranes fly and turn the robot into literal slag, but then I would've destroyed all of you in the process. But you do have a point, there were other civilizations who tried the robot thing, but the creators just sent more and more Kaiju. All of which go all out unlike me."

"What happens when they send more Kaiju?" Bakugo seemed calmer now that Endo was down on the ground.

"You want the honest answer? I run." Endo looked down shamefully, "I can only fight so many at once. Hell, the only reason I can fight more than one at a time is that the creators weakened them."

Momo spoke softly as if she was afraid to scare Endo away, "weakened them? Why?"

His gaze, now locked on her, sent shivers down the creation hero's spine, "so they wouldn't become me, another defect. They removed the shape-shifting abilities I have so the Kaiju didn't have to focus so much on creating things. They also added a height limiter, well at least for the ones with a capture directive." Endo's eyes widened as he realized what was now going to happen to earth, it hadn't truly hit him earlier. "Well, now I have to stay."

Everyone looked at him in shock, "not that we want you to leave or anything, but why the sudden change of heart?"

Endo sighed, "I need to drop off the other Kaiju hosts I have back on their homeworlds, but then, I guess I have to stay here, because, an invasion is coming." They stared waiting for an explanation, "a Kaiju with a kill directive is a dime a dozen, the grunts, common. But a capture directive is used only to get a new host, or a resource. Since the host I just fought knew exactly who he was going for, it was a resource, or in our case, a potential weapon. And he was referring to one of the girls here." Everyone turned to Momo and Jiro, "it's definitely not Jiro, no offense, but the creators almost certainly have sound based attacks down, it's way more likely they need Momo to create some rare resource for them. I have preparations to make, maybe even some allies to help, but I can't be sure, I will however… return." Endo seemed to force out that last bit.

While the others barraged him with questions, Momo noticed he was now speaking more comfortably, but still looked constantly tired and just sad. Endo clenched his fist, and Momo, knowing what it was stopped him, "do you, I mean… I just… do you live on your ship?"

Endo looked dumbfounded, of course, he did, "uh, yeah."

"Well… um…"

"What she's trying to say is we would like you to stay with us while you remain on earth. You should be back here, on solid ground." Shoto interrupted his soon to be wife and handed Endo a card with their number and address on it.

The once immortal man refused, however, "I'm sorry, but no."

"GODDAMMIT LIZARD BREATH, I'M GETTING TIRED OF YOUR SHIT, NOW TAKE THE DAMN CARD!" Bakugo didn't really intimidate Endo all that much, but he didn't want the guy blowing another hole in his ship.

Shoto pushed the card into his hand, "thank you, now go do what you need to, we will await your return. We have our own preparations to make."

Well Endo's back! It's only been like a few days in real world time though, lol. If you think Endo's character is jumping back and forth between leaving and staying, it's cause he's super conflicted about it, I'll go into it more in the next chapter. Thanks for reading hope it was enjoyable! Constructive criticism is appreciated.
