Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon

You.

He was the boy who beat her in the beginning.

She was the more experienced trainer. She'd been doing it for forever. Helping her father with his research and doing her own. He was the novice trainer from Johto who didn't know a thing about anything. He was just stupid. Stupid and lucky.

He beat her.

Over and over again.

He was the boy who became her friend, and her rival. Or maybe it was her who'd become his? After all, she was the one trying to prove something. He'd already proven enough. He'd beaten Team Aqua and Magma. Not her.

He was that boy.

"You." She muttered. "You, you. You."

And he didn't know what she was talking about. Him. Okay, what about him?

It was her.

She who pushed him forward. She who excited him with the allusion that they'd meet again on his travels. She'd battle him, test him, help him, keep him moving. She who was dedicated to pokémon. She who talked a lot with nothing much to say.

"You." He countered.

"You're in my room." She stated. Like he hadn't done this before.

"You're not traveling."

She who'd quit showing up.

"You shouldn't care."

She who'd stop traveling

"Shouldn't. But I do." He stated.

She who was always one step ahead of him, yet never truly ahead of him.

"Brendan, do you have to make everything difficult?"

She who he'd sworn to bring back again.

At this he grinned. "Why yes May, yes I do."

So very, very short ^^; I'm not entirely sure why I wrote this, but I hope you enjoy?
