I can't stand crowds. I shudder every time I even think about being surrounded by people, all talking to each other, so oblivious as to what's going on around them. I usually take to more quiet parts of Shibuya, like the station underpass, or the Udagawa district, but today, I'd promised my friend Mitsuya that I'd come with her to go shopping. I just convinced her that we should go somewhere less crowded, so her favorite shop, 104, was definitely off-limits.
Mitsuya texted me saying that she was waiting at Molco. She knew that I didn't mind that shop as much, since it was usually kind of empty when there wasn't some Tin Pin Slammer thing going on over there. I replied quickly and walked over, trying to take a more roundabout route to avoid particularly large crowds.
See, I detest crowds so much because I...I see things. Things that no one else can see, that seem to be drawn by large groups of people. I can't talk to anyone about it, because they never believe me. They think I'm joking, or just crazy.
When I finally got there, Mitsuya had her arms crossed and was tapping her foot impatiently. I nervously glanced at my watch to see that I was indeed running a bit late; the path I chose was pretty long, I guess. "Sorry..." I mumbled when I got up to her.
She sighed and smiled. "It's OK. You're here now, and that's what matters."
We were about to walk in and do some serious shopping when I heard a familiar silky-smooth voice.
"Excuse me, sir. Could you tell me when the next Tin Pin tournament is happening?"
"Oh my god, did you hear that? He's playing Tin Pin Slammer!" shouted a nearby girl.
"Wait, the Prince? He's HERE?" squealed another.
Sure enough, it was Eiji Oji himself. I never cared for him, and I can't see why other girls do, but when I looked over, Mitsuya was completely star-struck.
"Hey, I'll j-just be a m-m-minute, OK?" she stuttered without even looking at me. She didn't wait for my approval before running off to join the rapidly growing group of Prince fangirls.
"It's the PREEEEENCE!"
"We love you, Eiji Oji!"
"HAVE MY BABIES!"
I backed against the wall of Molco and slid my way away from the crowd to avoid being trampled to death. However, I froze instantly when I saw them floating ominously towards the girls.
The Weebers.
I didn't care what Mitsuya thought; I just took off running. Those hideous red symbols were gathering over the crowd, and they might have been following me. I didn't dare turn to look. All I did was run.
Once I thought I was far away enough, I looked back. I could still hear the squeals of the fangirls all the way from the scramble, and-
Wait...the scramble?
I whirled back around, only to face an even larger crowd. The Weebers were everywhere. Wherever I looked, I came face to face (do they even have one?) with a Weeber. I screamed and was left to mumble nervously to myself, ignoring the confused and concerned stares from the oblivious Shibuyans.
"Weebie weebie weebie..."
