Another Side, Another Story
One day while walking at night in a dark alley alone, Barry Burton came across the most horrifying sight in his entire life. Now keep in mind that Barry Burton is a former member of S.T.A.R.S. If you don't know what S.T.A.R.S. is, look up in the sky you dumbnut.
Anywho, Barry Burton is very experienced in fighting, killing, and head-kissing (read: head-smashing) zombies, monsters, Count Dooku, and My Little Ponies, so he's been around the horror block once or twice. So you may be wondering what could be so horrifying, terrifying, and even mortifying to paralyze Barry Burton with such fear. The answer is simple enough to know, but most complex to grasp.
It all began in Rwanda (a nation in Africa) where the Hutu and Tutsi tribes were involved in a long, drawn-out war that resulted in mass genocide. Though the United Nations dispatched its peacekeeping force and the West attempted a joint-rescue strategy, the militias responsible for the atrocities in Rwanda were not brought to justice. They instead fled to the neighboring nation of Zaire (Congo) (also in Africa) (look at a map).
Now, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) (Zaire) (still on the world map), is today a hopeless, chaotic maelstrom of death, torment, and suffering. Women are frequent targets of torture by the militiamen and genocide is very much prevalent in modern-day DRC. To make matters worse, the state army and police have no authority over the militias. Try as they may, they cannot reel in the terror wrought by these bands of cutthroats. The militias control most of the nation's resources, dealing under the table with multinational corporations to sell wellsprings of natural resources needed by the Western world so that people can have their technology and comforts all at the price of exploiting the poor people of the Congo.
This story is repeated in countless places all over the world. Time and time again you see the little guy fall victim to the oppression of the ones in power. And who's to stop them? An international court? It's too weak. The world's superpower? They're the ones buying the commodities reaped from this horrid system. Axel and Roxas? They would, but Nobodies don't exist, so they sadly can't.
Such a frightening reality is enough to keep anyone up at night.
But Barry Burton wasn't afraid of such petty drivel. No. The one thing that can scare Barry Burton is the Sub Shack's revised lunch menu. They removed the Jill Sandwich. Now what will Barry Burton eat for lunch…?
He would starve and the world would perish.
Barry Burton was on the verge of a psychotic breakådown when Roo hopped along and brought him a menu for the newly opened Sandwich Palace just around the block. Filled with so much jubilation, Barry Burton pulled out his pet magnum and shot dead a Pooh stick zombie then gave it to Roo as compensation. Roo sprinkled the dead, zombie Pooh stick with holy water before returning it to the Fellowship of the Pooh.
The end.
