One blink and he's in front of her. Another blink and he's disappeared from her sight.

Blink

"If you go I'll scream, and-"

A beat passes.

"Sakura..."

Another beat.

"Thank you, for everything."

The world goes dark, and she wakes up cold and stiff, but that isn't what bothers her the most.

She's alone, and he's gone.

Blink

His eyes were blank. They weren't full of hatred or anger. They were just empty. That, she thinks, is what worries her the most. If they weren't so blank, she thought that, maybe, he would come back.

In the back of her mind she knows he's on a path that he can't come back from. In the back of her mind she knows he was right, he is traveling a path they can't follow.

But she ignores those thoughts. She can't believe them.

Blink

He's without remorse. Sadistic, cold, and ruthless. She has to kill him. She can't let him fall any further.

In the end, she loves him too much to let him keep falling.

She blinks a last time before focusing on the back walking away from her. The Uchiha crest on his shirt seems somewhat tragic to her at this point. Everything had rushed into her head so quickly she didn't know if any of it was real or not.

Sasuke kept walking towards the Sound nin. A murderous glint that she didn't recognize - and didn't want to recognize - was in Sasuke's eyes. It didn't belong there.

"Whoever this is, it's not Sasuke," Sakura thinks to herself. She sets her jaw and staggers to her feet. She starts to run towards the man she loves but doesn't recognize.

"No!" Sakura shouts extending her arms as she closes the distance. "STOP IT!"

She catches up to him and throws her arms around him, making him freeze in his tracks.

"Don't do it," Sakura begs looking imploringly into his murderous read eyes. "Don't do it!"

As the marks ebb away, Sakura can't get rid of the images frozen in her head. Of him leaving, of him not coming home, of him trying to kill them all...

"Don't do any of it..." she begs silently to herself.
