Dislcaimer: I don't own any of the characters, alas, as much as I wished I did. I do salute JK Rowling though.
Pity I don't even own the title. Swing, Swing is an awesome song by All-American Rejects. You should check out the band and, or song
Nota Bene: This isn't even a song-fic. I just like the song name.
Summary: He's moved on now.. apparently. And just when she's absolutely smitten.
Sup? Hmm..procrastinating once again. Wait, no. I wrote this while waiting for my little sister..grr- anyway, read and enjoy. Please don't forget to review, they make my day bright.
Here it is;
Swing, Swing
"Aaaiiii--"
Lily shuddered - once again.
"Lily, I can explain."
She had walked into the Head Dorms to retrieve a book she needed and it seemed that she had walked into a, well, very intimate gathering of Potter, his mouth and a blonde.
"This time Potter, I don't think you can."
Lily had felt a twinge of something – upset really that she was bothered by things like that – but it was just the other night when she had found some stray peroxide blonde strands, regrowth and all, covering the royal red couch.
She hadn't sat there since.
"I didn't think you'd be worried about it."
By now, he had her swung around; looking down with such intensity it made her shiver.
"Oh, yes, I'm not worried about the fact that our dorm has been violated by the presence of several girls, who spite me for having such close living quarters with you. All I wanted was to curl up on that couch and read a book after a long day! Now I find clumps of fake blonde hair covering the Gryffindor red and thinking about how it might have got there slightly sickens me. Which is totally acceptable seeing as the thought-"
Potter knew Lily too well. He had her backed up against the wall, in between the disapproving paintings ("This never happened in my day!"). He cut her off, placing the lightest of kisses against her mouth. Just the slight pressure of his against hers made Lily's knees melt. She was somewhat grateful that his arm had made its way around her waist, holding her up.
As to why Lily did not push him away, she didn't know. Just the thought of some other girl's tongue down his throat sickened Lily, him kissing her straight after, could have killed her.
Lily must have sighed because before she knew it, his mouth was on hers again and her hands were keeping him close.
They broke apart after some time. Lily, shocked she had kissed him back with the same ferocity as he did her. Their breathing laboured, he looked down at her, eyes hidden in the shadows, Lily was pretty sure he smiled.
"I hate you."
Well, it felt like he was smiling.
