"Gimme back my crayons! You big meanie!" Naminé gasped, watching the older boy dangle the box of crayons above her head. Giving up, the blonde girl started to cry as tears spilled down her cheeks.

Smirking, Axel replied, "Name's Axel, got it memorized?" The girl was now crying so hard she could only make out a few whimpers and huge gasps for breath between her crying.

"Give my sister back her crayons, you jerk!" A touch voice barked behind him, as the green eyed boy turned to see who dared call him a jerk. Behind him stood a girl with arms crossed, violet eyes dead serious about what she was doing, and the expression on her face was that of disgust.

Opening her mouth again, she demanded, "Give my sister back her crayons, now." He handed the crayons back to the little blonde girl, who trotted over to her sister's side. "Never pick on my sister again, got it memorized?" The redhead said mockingly, and walked away.

Oh, Axel thought he was in love.

"Don't go, please, don't go, Axel." Her grip on his coat tightened, violet eyes swimming in tears. "You can't go, I need you." Her voice failed, faltering, cracking and breaking apart, bit by bit.

He couldn't bear seeing her like this, but there was only one thing he could do, "I'm sorry, Kairi." And he pulled the trigger.

Bang. Bang.

Everything ended.

恋敵

Sometimes Axel hated Sora. No, Axel really hated Sora.

Hated how girls would drop down at his feet when he smiled, hated how they asked him how he had saved the soccer game with his signature move. But what he hated about Sora most was how he rubbed the fact in his face that Kairi was his girlfriend.

Kairi, just about one of those girls that anyone would willingly die for, she was sweet, charming, intelligent, and so much more. Pity she was wasting her time dating Sora. He didn't even love her.

Sometimes Axel just wanted to whisk the pretty redhead away and tell her the truth about who she was dating, but she wouldn't listen to even her closest friends. But for now, watching her was enough.

Sometimes Kairi hated Axel. No, Kairi really hated Axel.

Hated how he wanted her to forget about Sora, hated how he always watched her from the corner of his eyes, waiting her to make a move. But what she hated about Axel the most was how much she actually loved him. She hated the fact that to date him would be social suicide.

Axel was one of those people that didn't care much on the outside, but seriously did worry about everything on the inside. He was always hanging around a blond boy, so Selphie spread rumors that weren't true.

Sometimes Kairi just wanted to defy all laws and press the poor redhead against the wall and make out with him like there was no tomorrow. But for now, thinking about it was enough.

foot notes:
happy birthday, ana! anyways, koigataki was written in a similar style to a bunch of my other in-progress fics. mahou noticed that i use repetition a lot, but it's like, my style, if i have any.
