"Remember sweetheart, lock the door. I'll be home as soon as possible," her mother mumbled as she grabbed her keys and headed out the door. Bidding her mother goodbye, Sarada shut and locked the door as instructed. Knowing her mother wouldn't be back for a while, she decided to grab herself a snack and find something to watch.
It was normal for Sarada to stay home, or at aunt Ino's house whenever there was some emergency going on down at the hospital. So who would have known such a disaster would have taken place on a day like today?
It had been about twenty minutes since her mother had left before she realized something was wrong. Nervously, she sat down her bowl of ice cream before making her way toward the front door. Her suspicions had been correct, the door was unlocked. Suddenly, she heard loud rustling from the kitchen.
Someone, or something was in the house.
Trying to swallow her fear, the young girl crept toward the kitchen, making as little noise as possible. Hiding behind a nearby wall, she peaked into the kitchen, searching for the intruder.
There stood a man about six foot, helping himself to the tomatoes stashed away in the refrigerator. She couldn't couldn't see much of his face from where she was hiding, but she did manage to see how dirty his outfit had been.
Maybe he was a hobo?
Hobo or not, he was still an intruder. Before she could turn to reach for the house phone, a deep voice stopped her in her tracks.
"Stay right where you are," he demanded, making her freeze immediately. As he strolled over towards her, Sarada's mind was in a panic. What was he doing to do to her? She took a glance at the sword on his hip and almost fainted. Oh God, he was going to butcher her then sell her organs online.
He stared down at her, and she couldn't help but stare right back at him. Now that she could clearly see his features, she noticed that he was pretty handsome for a hobo.
Silently, he raised an arm and placed his hand on top of her head. Her heart was pounding and she tensed up, as he ran his hand through her short hair. Slowly, his hand had made its way down to her cheek, and that's when she finally felt the courage to speak up.
"Uh, I need an adult..."
"I am an adult," he replied, after deciding to stop caressing her face. She wasn't sure what he would do to her if she moved, so she didn't dare try to sprint toward the house phone once he had distanced himself. "I'm heading upstairs to take a shower, care to join?"
Screw it, she was making a run for it.
Screaming, she flailed her body around as she ran toward the phone. Snatching the deceive out of its holster, Sarada quickly pounded 9-1-1 into the keypad and waited for a response.
"NINE-ONE-ONE I HAVE AN EMERGENCY!"
.
.
.
"Sasuke?"
"Hm?"
"Do you mind explaining why our daughter called the police screaming that a hobo broke into our house and tried persuading her into taking a shower with him?"
He had just returned home and Sakura was already making him sleep on the couch.
