And America Walked Away
My first Hetalia fanfiction and it's really angsty. Please excuse any mistakes.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Hetalia. If I did, there would be some scenes...
"I'm no longer a child, nor your little brother!"
Well, part of that was true. As much as it hurt England to hear those words, it hurt America even more to say them. Of course, he didn't realize it until he saw the other man fall down to his knees.
"...Why?! Dammit why?!...It's not fair..." He choked out in between sobs.
"You know why," America uttered, looking over at the red coat in pity. All those memories...those wonderful memories he had with England overflowed his vision, overlapping with what he was seeing now.
"Let's go home," His younger self looked up to his big brother, holding out his hand with that warm smile. America, only a colony, giggle while taking his hand.
"What happened?" Still staring down at the man who he used to call brother.
With every word, sorrow was laced through them. "I remember when you were great." England only stood there, sobbing at his lost.
And America walked away.
Even after the war, America regretted what he said. "I'm no longer a child, nor your little brother!" He regretted it destroying their relationship. He always thought that it was his fault. All of it.
Secretly, America wanted his brother back.
A/N: Sorry it's so short. I hope you liked it, please review and tell me how much you love it (or flame me, either way, you still read it!).
