Perseus Akoni Aegeus. Son of the sea god Poseidon. His family was killed when he was young. By Romans. Perseus had been out in the woods playing with the wolves when he heard a loud scream. The young boy ran towards his home only to see it set aflame by the Roman soldiers. Perseus had been only 8 at the time. The soldiers had found Perseus in the woods on their way back to Rome and taken him with them. They didn´t know Perseus was part of the family they had just murdered. When he was asked for his name, he told them it was Akoni, his middle name. It was Latin so the Romans would accept it.
Perseus was sold as a slave and trained as a gladiator. Perseus was already used to using a sword. It was something that his mother taught him, in case he needed to protect himself. His trainor, Chiron was a kind man but at the same time he was strict. Perseus had mastered all sorts of weapons by the time he was 15. He could beat anyone of the older gladiators without trouble. But the gladiators with Chiron were not full gladiators. They were slaves forced to fight. The real gladiators were at the Colluseum. Perseus knew he would have to go there one day, to kill for others entertainment.
Perseus hate for the Romans grew each passing day as he heard stories from the older men. Some of them were Greek but Perseus never told anyone his real name. Akoni became his name after a while but he never forgot the name his mother and father gave him at birth. His father, Poseidon, talked to him sometimes. Even as he changed from Poseidon to Neptune. It was still his father, and even though Perseus had never met his father, he loved him. Perseus understood why Poseidon couldn´t take care of him. He had a kingdom to take care of, a wife and a son. Perseus had spoken to both of them, just to tell them that he respected them and didn´t expect them to like or talk to him ever again. But they did. Triton talked to him as much as he could and Amphitrite took on the role of his mother when his real one was killed.
That was all that Perseus fought for. His family that was killed and the one that he got from his father. The one that could never be killed. Perseus hoped that he one day met them, not just talk to them. One day Perseus would be free from the Romans. And when he did, he would make sure that Rome fell to it´s knees as punishment for everything they had done. Not just to him but to everyone.
