Note: The only story I'm working on is my joint story on Oliver-Loves profile Breaking That Border which I love. Check it out. All else on hold. Sorry.
An: Today is an important day for me really and I needed to get my feelings out. Enjoy it.
Dedication: Daddy
15 Years
15 Years.
Silent tears raced effortlessly down her cheeks, small chocking sobs flowing from her slightly parted crimson lips. It had been 15 years to the day since his scent had been present in the Montez household. Her soft Hispanic skin dulled in colour as thought back through the 15 years without him. His words of love and caring laughter would never again tumble lazily from his mouth. It had been 15 years since kisses were pressed lovingly onto his daughters head and stomach. 15 years ago Sam Montez took his last shaky breath, his deep chocolate eyes sparkling for the last time ass he slipped effortlessly away from the world.
Clutching a picture to her chest Gabriella leaned back on her bed, frail trembling fingers tracing over his dark features, more tears falling as they lingered on his smile, gleaming white teeth staring happily back at her, a gleam emitting passionately from his eyes. Holding the picture back to her chest once more, a 15 year old Gabriella Montez felt her eyelids flutter closed carefully as she tried desperately to search for a memory to cling onto.
Tears fell painfully from her closed eyes as her heart yearned to feel anything from him. To sniff out the faint scent of his strong welcoming body, to feel the warmth from his arms as they wrapped themselves around her, holding her tiny body safe and warm, smothered by his loving embrace. She strained to imagine the smoothness of his lips as the grazed lovingly against hers and the gentleness of his soothing voice. She pictured the sound of his heavy laughter, radiating with his gentle boyish grin.
Sitting up she placed the picture back to her desk, a sigh echoing from her tired body as she processed that she would never have those memories. She was 4 months old when his eyes sparkled for the last time and it killed her to know that she could hold no memory of her father. She prayed that he was proud of her, hoped that as he watched her grow from heaven saw her mature and develop that she was able to fill his heart with pride and love. That his grin spread as he heard her laughter.
Pulling her knees into her chest she let herself think. Thoughts washing through her mind as she remembered her presence. She missed him more than she thought she ever could. Closing her eyes once again, Gabriella Montez dreamed of when they would meet in heaven and drowned in her father's memory.
15 Years it seems so long
Since you held me safe in your arms.
15 years since your lips created gentle words.
Pressing them softly to my body.
I feel your presence everyday.
And I love you more than my emotion shows.
This story is for you daddy.
I hope I can make you proud.
An: No flames. Obvs. But please do review. Xx
