Everybody Has a Chance

"Alex! Hurry up you're going to miss the bus!"

"I'm coming mom! Gosh maybe I don't want to go to this stupid school." She mumbled, this has been her ninth school she's gone to. Each one the same the routine: get on the bus, sit beside her friend Jessica, (they always transferred together), go to school, don't make any friends, and almost fail her classes and get in trouble because of her AD-HD and dyslexia, and transfer.

"Alex hurry up, the bus is coming!"

"I got to find my book" As she ran down the stairs she thought to herself, I wish she would stop worrying about me and stop smoking.

"Bye mom."

"Bye sweetie… wait."

"What is it mom?" this is weird, she thought to herself, even for mom.

"Be careful and I'll miss you."

"You're starting to creep me out mom, its only school."

"Just tell Jessica its time." Tears started forming in her mom's eyes scared Alex," There's the bus, be safe."

"Mom," Her voice so shaky she couldn't control it "will I see you again?"

"Maybe I'll see you after summer."

"Mom, I can't leave you to die or go away or what else I can't leave you, dad died in a car crash you can't die now, you just can't."

"There's the bus go get on there you will be safe, I'll be safe if you get on the bus with Jessica and don't forget to tell her I said its time."

"Bye mom, I love you." Her voice cracked.

"I love you to Alex."

She ran for the bus and as she got on she saw it was just her and Jessica who was also driving the bus.

"Where is everyone? And why are you driving the bus? Oh dear God, this is the worst day ever.
