AN: Just a "normal" day in the life of Kopa, Vitani, Nala, and Simba. Also, please review, it is much appreciated!
Circle of Life
"Hey Kopa, wake up!" Vitani said upon entering the den to Priderock. Kopa was asleep off in a corner. Vitani ran up to him saying, "Come on Kopa! I want to play!" She was now pushing him with her forepaws, trying to wake him.
"Five more minuets..." He responded groggily, waving a paw in the air.
"That's what you said yesterday, and you wouldn't wake up for another hour!"
Nala headed over to the cubs, seeing the mini dilemma, and said, "Kopa, honey, time to get up."
"Do I have to?" Kopa said, yawning and turning over. His eyes were half open at this point.
"Yes dear, plus, wasn't your father going to show you the kingdom today?" Nala said to him.
"Oh yeah!" Kopa said, suddenly eyes fully open. He jumped up, and started out the den, yelling to Vitani, "Come on!"
"Now he's up." Vitani responded flatly. "Better go then, thanks Nala!" Vitani said running out of the den, chasing Kopa.
Later on in the day...
"So, let me get this right, when we die, we become the grass?" Kopa asked Simba, his father.
"Yes, it's called the great circle of life." Simba responded.
"So I'm standing on my great grandfather, and his father, and his father?" Kopa asked.
"Well..." Simba had never really given this much though. "I guess so." Suddenly Vitani jumped onto a nearby rock, Kopa doing the same.
"I really don't feel like angering the great kings of the past..." Vitani said, looking down at the grass.
Great, how is this going to work out? Simba thought to himself. "You do understand that the grass is meant to be stepped on, it was given to us by the kings to give comfort to those who walk on it, and for animals to graze on."
"Oh, so the kings won't care if we step on them?" Kopa asked.
"They shouldn't." Simba replied
"Ok then..." Kopa said, cautiously getting off the rock. Vitani followed close behind.
Later that night...
"Mom, guess what!" Kopa said enthusiastically to his mother.
"What is it?" She replied cheerfully.
"We stepped on great grandpa today!" He said with a huge smile across his face.
"... How so?" Nala was a little taken back by this comment.
"Because when we die, our bodies become the grass!" Vitani responded cheerfully.
"Oh! Alright now, you two go off and play, I need to talk to Simba." Nala said to the duo. They went off, and when they were out of sight, Nala said to Simba, "What on earth was that?"
"I have no clue, at least they are getting my lessons, better than I ever did!" Simba replied with a smile.
AN: Let me know on how it was. Also, please review!
