How Can I Live Without You?
By: Rinata Hikota.
Summary: As the ship sailed away from outset, the once unfearful pirate gave in allowing a single tear to fall from her face.
Night passed over the graceful land now known as modern day Hyrule as if it had never come in the first place. Tetra gazed off into the horizon. Outset Island was in plain view. Usually she would be excited to go. To see Link smile and be happy showing his gorgeous looks in the sun, seeing Links happy grandmother when the ship docked, and her favorite part when her, Aryll, and Link would go spend a day at the beach relaxing, splashing in the water and burying Aryll in the sand. Usually it was happy, but this time it was to be different. Link had become her best friend, her safety net, and possibly even the love of her life.
"Love...," Tetra began, "I can't...I'm a pirate...AHHHH!"
Tetra stormed back into her room in a frustration. Link was leaving, thus was the only thing that upset her.
------------
Link began packing his things stopping every now and then to look at things that reminded him of all the adventures him and tetra had shared. He was reminded by a feather and other small items of all the friends he had made and all the places he had visited. It seemed to him at first that this was all a waste of time that once he had saved Aryll he needed not to continue on with the journey. But he was wrong. Link was then reminded of the first time he played a song with the windwaker, the first time he had met a friend, and even the first time he fell in love.
"Get a hold of yourself, Link", he whispered softly
Link walked quietly ou of his cabin. He swiftly tiptoed across the hallways past Tetra's room onto the deck of the ship. He noticed Gonzo was not out atop the watchtower as he usually is. More to Link's surprise the ship was stopped. Something told him the crew went to sleep. He gave up and retired to his cabin to sleep for the night. The last thoughts on his mind were that he needed to get home...but he needed to be with her.
