"There's just a small problem, Audrey." Percy said rather uncomfortably, turning a shade of red that clashed sadly with his hair.

"Mmm, what could that be, dearest?" Audrey barely looked up from her stacks of table setting designs, as she was rather familiar with her fiancé's neuroses.

"I… Well…"

"Just say it."

"I can't dance to save my life."

Audrey looked up incredulously, her attention fully focused on him. "What?"

"You heard me." Percy said irritably. "I can't dance!"

"But… surely you learnt at Hogwarts? There must have been dances there!" Audrey rolled her eyes. She had been privately schooled, and so she was unfamiliar with Hogwarts. In any case, she'd learnt to dance at the age of 12, as part of her pure-blood education.

"Well, you know the only girl I've been with in a relationship besides you was Penelope Clearwater, and we parted ways just before the dance, and I was so heartbroken that I didn't bother to find another girl to go to the dance with, much less learn how to dance."

"You're lucky that I'm a damn good dancer, then. Come on." Audrey stood up, vanishing her messy papers, and taking off her shoes. She held out her arms expectantly.

Percy placed his arms awkwardly around her, holding her far too lightly, as if she were made of glass.

"Oh come on, Percy. Much tighter than that." she arranged his arm around her waist so that their hips were almost touching, their bodies pulled closer together. "I won't break, you know?"

"I sometimes think you will." Percy mumbled, his face turning even redder than usual, if that was possible.

"Nonsense."Audrey tiptoed up and kissed him lightly, a playful grin on her face.

"Stop. We're supposed to be teaching me how to dance. I can't concentrate if you're going to be kissing me like that." Percy said, inching further away.

"Alright then, Mr Fancy-Pants." she rolled her eyes. "We'll only need to be doing the waltz at our wedding, and it's ridiculously easy. I'll lead for now, and then you give it a try later. It's only three steps: long, short, short."

She stepped away and demonstrated it for him. Percy looked like he was about to grab a notebook and start taking notes, so she quickly grabbed him and put his arms around her waist again.

"Just follow my lead." She flicked her wand at the stereo, and immediately, waltz music came out of it, floating across the air gracefully.

Percy wasn't half bad at dancing— he'd just never learnt. There were a few times that Audrey had to tell him to stop thinking so hard about it, but he got the hang of it surprisingly quickly, and soon they were twirling across the room, laughing when they bumped into some half-finished wedding preparations.

"At least we've got that one out of the way." Percy said when they were tired of dancing, and lay curled up together on the sofa, his hands buried in her luxurious blonde curls and combing through them gently.

"I assume you're ready to be distracted, then?" Audrey sat up and gave him a knowing wink, and leaned in to kiss him.
