"Please my lord…. Please. She isn't worth it." A blonde haired man choked out as he sat he sat in the Malfoy Manor. His icy gray eyes glanced up nervously at the bald headed man, not knowing what he was going to do. "She seems to be worth something Lucius. I don't want her dead, or hurt. You will need to find a way to get to her. Even it is hurting her friends." The man said as the younger man sighed. "Alright my lord. I will find a way to get to the girl." He answered as the ruthless leader soon disappeared. Following morning arrived as Lucius walked through the halls of the school. His icy gaze scanned the surroundings as students darted past, and spotted the bushy haired girl darting down to the library. "What seems to be her hurry?" He thought as he followed, hoping to get her alone. Luckily she was as he found her in a corner, where she had tucked herself away with a mountain of books. He smiled as the librarian was distracted and he walked over to the girl. "Miss. Granger. I am surprised that your not with your beloved friends. "He said, causing her to jump. "Mr. Malfoy. What a surprise." The teen said dully, glancing back at the book. "You don't seem too happy to see me. Which I don't blame you. I have done things that aren't… plausible. I hope we can put differences aside, and start new?" He asked her. She stared at him stunned. "A death eater? Putting things in the past, aside? You are an very odd man, sir. But if you're willing…." She said. The elder man gave her a soft smile, which appeared to be sincere. "If you don't mind me asking. May I buy you a butterbeer in Hogshead when you come down this coming weekend." "Well, your full of surprises. Um, sure, yeah, Id like that sir." Hermione replied, with a soft nod. He nodded back, and soon left. "What the hell did I just agree to?" Hermione thought as she watched the father of her enemy leave the massive library. Why her of all people would he wanted to talk to, much less buy a drink when she went to town that weekend. With a shake of her head, she looked back to her books, and began to work once more on what she had left off.
The weekend finally arrived as the Golden Trio began to walk down the long road towards town. "So, where to first?" Ron asked as they finally reached their destination. "Um... Im meeting someone in Hogshead." Hermione said quickly. "Oh? Who?" Harry asked her. "You don't know him." She answered as she took off, towards her destination. Once she made sure her friends hadn't followed, she entered, and stepped inside. "Ah, Miss. Granger, pleased you could join me." Lucius Malfoy answered as the girl stepped into the cool establishment. "Of course. I keep my word, Mr. Malfoy." She answered. "That you do." He replied coolly. "Please, sit down, I already ordered our drinks. I hope you don't mind." He told her. "I don't mind at all." She said defensivly as she sat down and glanced at him. "Now, may I ask why you asked me here today?" She asked, looking towards the table. "I have a proposition for you. It seems there is a new... law. Im sure you have heard of it?" The elder man asked. "Yes, the marriage law." Hermione told him as her head snapped up. "What does this have to do with anything." The man sighed. "I received notice that we... are to be married." He said.
"MARRIED?!"
I know, it probably isn't the BEST, but it is something. Please leave comments for me and I promise to have the next chapter up soon!
