Nor could she stop her own crazy smile from taking over her face, brightening her whole face. Her eyes followed him back to his desk before locking with his as he sat down. He flashed her that charming smile, wiggling his eyebrows and turning to his computer. Feeling the burn in her cheeks, her eyes shied away.

Without a doubt she had made the right choice.

Reaching up she pulled the necklace from under her shirt. Where her Star of David usually hung now hung a diamond engagement ring. The anxious butterflies started in her stomach again as she played with the ring. Soon she wouldn't have to hide it, soon she could wear it proudly on her finger. Until then, Ziva David would just sit there and smile - happy that her life was finally settling down, finally making some sort of sense.
