"Hiii, Kii-mo-rah!" Ronicus wheezed, sitting in the tent with a bottle of Rome's finest in his hand and a definite bloodshot appearance to his eyes.
"Ronicus, I set out as the Masked Warrior as soon as I heard. To have to head off an assault on Rome by hurrying all the way from Iberia… my poor, sweet Ron, how you've struggled."
"Well, you… (hic) you know, Ki-mo(hic)… Romans can be faster than Mercury when they want to be…"
"I also heard," Kim grimaced before continuing, "about how your forces were routed from the exhaustion of the sail and the hike."
"Many men died!" Ron suddenly shouted, rising to his feet and looking both serious and sober in an instant. Then he lost all semblance of control again and silently wept. "Many men died…"
"Well, it was on short notice, but I think it's about time Ron had his MW with him, don't you?"
"The Masked Warrior? I love you, Kim… but even the legendary masked warrior is one person like all the people who died today… and she is someone I would die if I lost." Ron grew quiet at the end of his statement.
"I know, Ron…" she said. "I didn't come here to make you fear for my safety too."
"The Masked Warrior is bon-diggety!" Ron agreed, "but you're still at risk here, no matter how awesome you are."
"You misunderstand, Pater de Familias. I'm not assuming I'm safe because I'm the Masked Warrior."
"I'm worried, Kim." Ron admitted.
"Not to worry, Ronicus. I've brought Trojans with me."
"Boo-yah!"

Notes and Credits: Ronicus et Trōia is Latin for 'Ronicus and Troy.' This tiny piece of writing was inspired by an FFNet forum post in which Jurnee Jakes provided a line as inspiration to see what someone would write including that line. I took it up using a version of Mr. Wizard's Ronicus and Kimora. Although this is brief, I wanted to keep a copy of it on my profile and asked Mr. Wizard if he would mind if I posted this. Thanks to Jurnee Jakes for the inspiration line and to Mr. Wizard for his story series and his permission to do this.
Jurnee Jakes' line to include was 'Not to worry, Ronicus. I've brought Trojans with me.' I didn't go with the prurient possibility because I couldn't M-rate a forum post and also because the misdirection amused me somewhat. This Ronicus and Kimora are, to borrow Mr. Wizard's turn of phrase, cheerfully anachronistic, to both ancient Roman history and to his story series. I was just looking for an excuse to have them be in proximity to each other at a time they wouldn't otherwise be. I recommend you read 'Ronicus ad Porta,' 'Ronicus Ibericus,' and 'Ronicus et Leo' (in that order). Great stuff.
People who wonder if I'll write another story that's more than just a page will be glad to know that I will. Still, thank you for reading. Should you review this, I will provide a response.
