Chapter 1: The Update
Warm light shines down on him, keeping him warm like a blanket. He hears the chirping of birds and the wind rustling through the leaves.
Ralph slowly opens his heavy eyes. He's laying in his stump with his limbs hanging out. He looks up to the sky and sees that the sky isn't dark any more like how it use to.
'That's weird,' he thought.
The sky was blue, with barely a cloud; a few birds flew overhead.
He knew that something was different...but couldn't tell what it was. His body felt sore...almost glitch-y. He was having a pulsing headache. He sits up sluggishly and rubs the back of his head to ease the pain.
"Where am I?" he mumbles, slightly above a whisper, in pain.
The wrecker looks around. He is in a small clearing in the forest. The first thing he notices is that everything seemed...more detailed. The tress are more abstract shaped. The clouds and the grass are different sizes.
He sits at the end of his stump. For that moment, his headache ceased. He then closes his eyes. He fells the warm breeze, blowing on his face. He takes a deep breath, marveling at his surroundings. He smiles a wide, closed mouth smile.
He then hears faint yawning, coming from behind. He sluggishly turns around, holding his head and wincing as his headache returns.
He saw a wolf. It looked like a German Shepherd, but its fur was different shades of red and orange. Its tail was long and bushy. When the dog opened its eyes, the wrecker sees that they're golden-brown.
There was silence for a moment that seemed to go on for eternity. They just stood there and stared into each other's eyes.
Then, they heard rustling in the bushes, breaking the silence.
They simultaneously turned their heads and looked into the thick forest. They saw hints of blue and a golden glint when the sun hit it at the right wolf started to growl where the noise was coming from. A few moments later, a figure came out.
"Felix?" Ralph asked. "Felix, is that you?"
"Yes, yes it is," Felix answered cheerfully.
He had a sky blue button-up shirt with a white T-shirt underneath. He was wearing dark blue jeans with matching suspenders. Had a blue cap with the initials "F.F." on it. Also, he was wearing brown timber-foot boots. He had his golden hammer on its tool belt.
But Ralph saw that something was off about him. Nothing bad, just he looked more...detailed as well. His golden hammer had more of a glint and you could see the stitches on his jeans.
"Did," the wrecker said. "Did we get an update!"
THE END
