"Please stay with me…"

"Groose has gone for help…"

"HANG IN THERE LINK!"

Zelda was nearly shouting at the top of her lungs in a desperate hope that her voice would help Link. Save Link. She clung to him, his blood soaking her pale hands. Link's chest was covered long open slices, scarlet seeping out of them. The light green of his tunic was no longer visible. She pulled him close to her, taking in his scent. Link smelled of Skyloft, but something new blended in. It was death.

"Don't worry… You're going to be ok."

Link lay limp in Zelda's arms, his only movements being the slight twitch of his fingers.

"Zeld-da… I'm glad… It was me…And… And not you…"

Link's voice was shaky and barely over a faint whisper. Zelda listened, only taking in the sound of his voice, always sincere, always sweet… Always loving.

"Shhh save your strength… Groose will be here soon with help."

"Z-Zelda…"

"Yes?"

"Could you… Sing a song… For me?"

"S-Sing?"

"I've always… Liked it… When you sing…"

Zelda could see a smile cross Link's face even though crimson blood and oversized violet bruises cased his appearance. She wondered how he could be smiling at such a time. Link roughly coughed and blood was splattered over his jaw and chest. Zelda's eyes grew wide and anxious.

"What do you want me to sing Link?"

"Your f-favorite song…"

"My… Favorite?"

Zelda's eyes swelled with tears. She held Link's head under her chin stroking his cheek softly with her thumb. Seeming as though it was the only thing that she could do, she began to sing.

Oh Youth…Guided By The Servant Of The Goddess…

"Ah… That song. Our song. I remember it o clearly…"

Unite…

"Your voice… brings me so much peace…"

Earth And Sky…

"If I had to do… All of it again… Zelda…"

Bring Peace…

"I would do it again… No matter how many times… For an eternity…"

To The Land…

"For you…"

Link's eyelids fluttered open and closed. His gentle smile slowly fading away. Pounding could be heard in the distance. It grew louder and Groose cam sprinting around the pathway of dying trees.

" Groose is here! They're here Link! Professor Owlan is here! Owlan will patch you right up!"

Link's eyes were shut loosely. His breathing had slowed almost like he wasn't breathing at all. He looked as if he were sleeping. So calm, so at peace.

"Link?... Link!"

He was gone

"Please don't cry Zelda… Don't worry... I'm sure we'll meet again... Something tells me… Deep inside me… That we will surely see each other again… Someday."

A small boy clad in green ran through the garden. The castle was so unknown to him but his subconscious knew where to go every turn, every curve. His pointed cap blew in the air as he ran past the guards and into the flowered area. The most stunning flower was the petite young girl that stood on the pedestal at the end of the garden. He started to walk up the small steps but stopped.

The young girl spinned around, gasping in the process. She took a few moments to speak as she watched the boy.

"What's your name?"

"Link"

Link spoke softly, only murmuring his answer.

"Link? That name… It's somehow… Familiar…"

She looked past him as if remembering a fond memory. Link moved the last few stairs. He looked into her deep violet eyes and grasped her hands into his own. A tender smile graced his face.

"Something told me deep inside… That I'd meet you someday Zelda"
