For The Love of Science
Verde simply didn't understand it. His black leather shoes click and clack as he walks on the marble floors of his living room. His vision seems hazy on the sidelines, only focusing on only one. The green-haired scientist shakes his head, hoping for his vision to clear, but it does not. With a resigned sigh, he pulls out a compact mirror from the rightpocket of his lab coat.
Removing his spectacles off of the bridge of his nose, Verde stares into the compact mirror, one eye at a time. Ah, they've expanded again.
20% expanded.
Flipping the compact mirror shut, Verde slips his spectacles onto his face once more with a deep sigh.
He slips the mirror back into his pocket and pulls out a small remote the size of his palm into his hand. Pressing a couple of numbers on the small device without having the need to look, a couple of robotic arms pick the man up by the waist and drops him gently into his self-invented hovering chair.
As the furniture in the room flip over to reveal the familiar beakers and test tubes, his field of vision seems to expand. He can feel them expanding quietly, slowly.
35% expanded.
When the entire room has morphed into his laboratory, Verde's vision has cleared entirely.
45% expanded.
Verde leans back as he revels in his thoughts. It seems that this lab has captured his heart, as much as it seems impossible. Of all the secret bases he's created, they were all just... bases. He could destroy them all without a second thought, but this one is special. Verde places a gentle hand on the small, worn out keyboard on his desk.
After all, this was his first laboratory.
Fact of the day: Your eyes' pupils expand by as much as 45% when you see the person you love. Not sure if vision is affected by this widening of pupils, but screw logic, no? XD Hahaha, hope you enjoyed this VerdexLab thing.
