A/N: Hullo everyone, really hoping you like this; it's my first fic, so I'm a bit nervous about what people will think of it. I know it's short, (*sigh*) but I'm working on some more stuff, either trying to get them to sound right, or just trying to figure out how to put what's in my mind on to paper. Anyway, please review, even though it's not much; I'm definitely open to constructive criticism, so I'd appreciate any feedback anyone has. Thanks!

Disclaimer: It's not mine. :(

Fighting tears, Ida Scott sat on the edge of the pit on Krop Tor.

"You should see this place Zach," she whispered. "It's beautiful."

And it was.

Stone carvings were embedded in the walls of the cavern and ruined pillars stretched towards the stone ceiling. In the distance starlight penetrated the darkness, and she could see the the ancient ruins of a fallen civilization going on as far as her eyes could see. Silence filled the air, the sort of silence that comes with something that isn't meant for human eyes.

This was the place where she was going to die.

And it was beautiful.

Wishing she could let herself cry, Rose Tyler stood on the edge of a beach in Norway.

Rocky cliffs stretched up to meet the clear sky, which rolled on endlessly until it blended with the sea in the horizon. Endless. Forever.

It wasn't right. The sky was too clear. It should be dark and thundering, with forks of lightening crossing and battling angrily like the hot and burning fire that filled her heart. The water should be wild and thrashing, waves leaping over the rocky shore, trying to grab her and pull her under.

It just wasn't right.

This was the place where she was going to die.

And it was beautiful.

Thanks for reading, and please review!
