A/N - Wow, it's been forever since I've had the inspiration to write anything. This is a drabble inspired by a Pokemon Platinum AU I'm sort of, kind of working on. The AU story is pretty much about how I felt while playing the game through the characters. Blah blah self-insert blah blah. Anyways, the following is one possible "confession" scene between Dawn and Looker I've been toying with. It takes place after all the main events, like how you can visit Looker in the Game Corner. Also (not that it matters to anyone but myself) I can't see any of this happening unless Dawn is older, at least 19. It creeps me out otherwise. Enjoy?
Disclaimer: Pokemon does not belong to me, nor am I making a profit off of it.
Dawn stood in front of the Veilstone City Game Corner. The main entrance was somewhat intimidating, yet something about it was enticing her to step inside. Dawn pulled out a small compact mirror, quickly checking her appearance. Satisfied, she took a deep breath and stepped inside. Immediately her senses were bombarded with colorful flashing lights and the low roar of excited people and rattling coins.
Feeling slightly overwhelmed, Dawn looked around the building for a while not sure where to start. After a few minutes, she wandered over to the main counter and asked the clerk a question. He looked confused at first, mostly likely because she had no intention of purchasing any coins, but finally pointed towards the slot machines. She walked past the rows of machines, a feeling of excitement growing as she looked down each aisle.
Finally, she found what she was looking for. Slowly, so as not to draw attention to herself, Dawn walked towards a specific slot machine. Sitting in front of the it was Detective Looker who was completely engrossed in the game he was playing. He was talking to himself, apparently cheering himself on. Dawn had to put a hand to her mouth to stop herself from laughing. She stepped up behind Looker and stood there for a moment, just watching him.
Suddenly without a word, Dawn grabbed Looker by the shoulders swiveling him around on his stool. She pulled him by his tie towards her and promptly kissed him on the lips. Detective Looker sat there stunned not fully understanding what just happened. When he finally recognized the young woman standing in front of him, his face turned deep red. Looker stared at her for some time not saying anything and Dawn looked expectantly back at him. After what seemed like eternity, Looker glanced at the game behind him and turned back slowly.
"So?" Dawn prompted, eager to know what he felt.
"My streak is broken."
