Ginny kept moving, unable to stop shaking in any position. She sat up and her shoulders would nearly shutter out of the sockets. She would rest on her knees and her legs would vibrate along the floor. She would stand and her hands would not keep still. She needed answers, but no one would give her any. She walked down to the healers desk and waited while no one looked up at her.
"Excuse me?" she asked impatiently, but no one looked up, they were much to busy.
"Ginerva?" someone asked from behind her. Ginny turned quickly and starred into the face of her Mother. Her mother's sunken eyes and pale white face made Ginny's stomach drop into her pelvis. She could feel the tears brimming on her eyes, they were hot and painful.
"Mummy?" she asked before the tears took her over and Molly pulled her into a tight hug. "How long?" she sobbed against her mother's chest.
"We are not putting a time on it dear," Molly said pulling Ginny back. "Go in and see him." Ginny wiped violently at her tears but they ket falling down her cheeks, hot and unwelcome.
"I can't go in like this," Ginny said biting against her lip.
"Just take a deep breath," Molly sighed. Ginny did, it was harsh and forced but she filled her lungs and pushed out a hard breath.
"Okay," Ginny said looking toward the door to her father's room. The door loomed ahead of her, the plastic blue shade unnerved her. It felt like the designers were trying to go for a healthy sapphire but ended up with a sickly colour. When she opened the door all the air left her lungs. He was pale, weak and his hair was nearly all gone.
"Dad," she said holding back tears.
"My little girl," he breathed. Ginny stepped forward and the floor gave way beneath her, she fell straight onto the bed. She was crying hard, her shoulders shaking with each hard breath she took.
Suddenly she felt her father's fingertip run across her cheek.
"Darling," he said softly. Ginny looked up at him and tried to wipe away the tears.
"How long?" she choked. "How long have you been sick?" Arthur looked guilty at her question. He moved his head to look out the window and when he answred it was soft and hard to hear.
"One year." Ginny felt rage boil up in her stomach.
"A year?" she yelled standing up and looking down at her father. Hot tears were still falling from her face, but she was no longer shaking with fear, she was shutting with rage.
"You have known for a whole year? Why am I only just finding out about this now?" she asked standing back from her father.
"I don't have an answer for you Darling," Arthur said looking back over at Ginny. "It was selfish," he added. Ginny started crying again and made her way to the bed lying down next to Arthur.
"I love you so much," she said feeling bile drive up her throat.
"I love you also, my dear girl," Arthur said leaning over and kissing the top of Ginny's head.
